i dunno but if not mistake then likely lets you cut it into smaller pieces
Saw these drop last night.
I was also in Velks fighting @ the entrance. Didn't think much of it except that you could probably tradeskill it down into smaller pieces.
Never saw it before. Maybe it was something they added after the last patch.

I'm cuious as to how much it weighs.
A Block of Velium weighs 18.0 iirc.

According to EQ Traders, this was formerly the "Block of Velium"
