Yes I know the first response would be "no one reads the feedback", however I do not think they would waste the space and script to have it there if no one read it.

I thought it was like a placebo, makes people feel better even though it does absolutely nothing. Kinda like those 'How was your dining experience cards?' you see at restaurants or the 'employee suggestion box' at work.

To make an attempt to stay on topic, I would also like to see something done to get more people interested in LDoNs. Nearly everyone I play with enjoys them and yet these same people subject themselves to the fairy MM nightly at least once instead of knocking out an LDoN.

Oh by the way, some of the LDoN loot that many people think is total junk tributes for ALOT. It's been awhile since I've done one, but I've been in groups that just let me loot pretty much everything cause they don't even want to bother with it - until I tell them how much some of it tributes for.

Bingo. LDoN stuff has insanely high tribute values. The Architect BP from... Takish? is worth 10k, the geodes that everyone just sells can be made into gold rings that tribute for 331. I forget the other gem names but each LDoN dungeon set drops a gem that can be made into jewelry that trades for a high tribute value, just have to figure out which. Geodes->Gold rings, amethysts for plat bracelets (worth 661), quartz for electrum quartz rings (worth 221), etc. My wife and I do them to get stuff to trade for tribute.

Someone mentioned 2-boxing with a paladin - My wife and I do them with me two boxing a paladin and shaman, her a bard. Granted I've got a fabled ghoulbane but we blow through mistmoore LDoN's from that with the Nife proc unless we get a non-undead dungeon and once we got the DoN proc spells for shaman and bard we can do most of the others if we try hard. Post 50 LDoN's the mobs have insanely high HP, just need to get DPS high enough to take them down in less than 2 minutes. Except Guk anyway, Guk has always sucked :)

LDON provides the best opportunity for revamp in EQ:

The themes and the lore were good. The instanced approach has hurt the community and "real" feel of this game much. Though it has a place for quest/raid generated spawns (instead of insane timers on spawns).

Fix ldon by making each entrance a live dungeon. String together the maps from the mistmoore crypt into 1 cohesive zone. Make the crypt level 10-25, the pit 60-70. Do similar with each theme (so everfrost would be 20-35 and 60-70). The deeper you go in this larger dungeon the harder the mobs, the more likely the named.

Make the loot rare on the trash, common on the named. Also, convert to the task system for the LDON charm and points. This allows soloing. Easier tasks provide a few points. Group tasks provide huge points. Make the group tasks good-excellent xp. Make tasks for level 10-70. You can do the tasks below you which caters to the power range in the top end (what one group of level 70 can do, another may only dream of).

Provide tasks that let you get the more desirable drops... as a notrade version. So if I want my bloody anchilles pouch for my 41 ranger I can earn it (but make the task worthy of the item. If I have to kill 500 mistmoore vamps...that is my task).

Make LDON points able to purchase radiant crystals from the wayfarers.

Create a new set of fun clicky gear as per the Tolan, Donal's, etc. but make it no trade so it isn't stupidly farmed. Or let it be farmed. Whatever. Dungeons need goofy stuff in them.

Make the 60-70 dungeons (one of each theme) have an instanced raid conclusion. Make it worth doing. Maybe a raid that gives all in raid a reward. Could always make it part of a key to get into the LDON zone from the Legends server (since legends content should be made available with it getting ixnayed)and make this "key" worth having.

They could add a new "lost dungeon" every month and not hurt the game. I would like to see one in Echo Caverns full of mutants.

I hope more people start doing ldons again. I still need my Anger 3 augs at 1150 points a piece and I wasn't looking foward to scraping groups together to get a few dozen ldons done.
Ob's would love to do some LDoN's Smiley: grin

Seems a lot of int casters need the spells from LDoN's to do some of the MPG trials, so there has been a resurgence of sorts. at 70, I think the you recieve 115 points per mission, but the mobs hit for 1700 or so.

"3) Points should not be restricted to a specific adventure site (i.e. Tak or Mistmoore) since that creates discontinuity in people looking for adventures and that ultimately undermines the building of ldon groups. I understand that it cuts into the lore aspects of the Wayfarers, but it must be done to save ldon. "

I have never agreed more with a statement ever in my life than this. I agree with everything else that you (and everyone on this thread) is saying about LDoNs, too. But the seperation of the LDoN points by camp is the LAMEST thing since....well something really lame.

As a Necro with my particular play style, I live and die by my DoTs. The best dots in terms of damage/tick at any given level are only obtained doing insane amounts of adventures. ("Dark Soul", "Impreciation")

In order to get these, I had to spend night after night trying to put together LDoNs for the camps here I needed points for the spells. Since I usually go out of my way to be a nice guy, alot of times in trying to do this the LDoN would get derailed by someone entering the group and saying "can't we do this LDoN, I really need points" and I would just let it go and say "okay well I'll do x LDoN with you if you'll do a y LDoN with me after"... but most of the time that never happened and I ended up spending countless hours getting points I don't need. Now don't get me wrong I had a blast in some of those groups, met and played with some great people, but it wasn't getting me the spells I needed.

It got to the point where, against what my nature is, I had to be a tyrant about it and resort to "either we're doing x LDoN or I'm out"... and I hope I never came off like a jerk doing that but at least I finally got my "Impreciation"

Combine the LDoN points!!!!!!!!!!!

(*is that the sound of crickets I hear?*)

IMO there are 2 problems with LDON. #1 The exp at higher levels is terrible (and they get really hard) and #2 the stuff you can buy with the points is outdated crap.

Now having said that, at low levels, these things rock for EXP. But at relatively high level, time is better spent in DoNs. (I speaking as a 70 DRU with over 600 LDON points rotting as anything I can purchase is crap).
