Ok, I have been playing for six years, actually started on Vallon Zek the second day it opened. I have six Veteran Rewards. My question is why, if I delete a character that has his Veteran Rewards, when I create a new character, he cannot recieve the rewards.
Part of the fun of EQ for me is starting new characters, trying new classes, and meeting new friends that way, I do not have one character that I started back then, and only one pre-Velious.
Am I the only one who feels this way? Am I missing something here? I know it may not be the most pressing EQ concern, but I wanted to run this by you on these boards before I take it up with my friend who works for Soe. Any feedback would be appreciated.

I've heard of cases where folks petition prior to deleting the character and got the vet rewards reset so they could claim them on another toon.

depends on the GM that you get I would assume.

So if you /petition you don't get an answer?

GM's are not assigned to a server anymore.

I would think your friend who works at SoE would be able to help more that random posters here.

How many Vet Rewards do you have on characters throughout all the servers? When you go to set the rewards, it explicitly says that the rewards will be linked to that character only and are you sure you want to set them.

As I recall, it was one character per "year" of vet rewards gained. So if you have the first four rewards, you can have them across four characters total. Or 6/6 in your case.

yes, that is what I have, 6/6. And you are right, when you enable them it says make sure you want ot use them, as you only have them for a certain number. I am only asking, because I do not want more than 6, I just wanted to be able to use those six whether I deleted characters or not.
I wanted to get your opinions because ny friend at Soe is a smart a@$ and I wanted to see all arguements before I talked to him.Smiley: lol

I don't blame you but, in SOE's defense, they're pretty clear about it when you activate them.

True, they do, and it is not as if this is ruining my gaming exp by any means...just wanted to know, despite SOE's clear policy on them, if anyone felt like me and thought they should be able to transfer them off deleted characters.

This is silly of course you should be able to flag a toon with vet. rewards if you're deleting one with vet. rewards. Think for a minute, you ARE the consumer. Are you trying to get an extra toon flagged? No, are you asking for something that unbalances the game? No, you're asking for a little accomidation. Isn't the point of vet. rewards to reward longtime customers? Just my take on the subject.
