What does Attuneable mean?

I've come back after as long break. Lots of changes...

What does it mean that a piece of gear is "attuneable"?

Once you actually wear an item it attunes itself to your body and spirit and becomes no trade.

It means, once the item is equipped, it becomes no drop. It is attuned to your character and can't be traded or sold.

Except on FV server where attuneable means nothing.
