the state of Everquest?Follow

#1 Dec 18 2005 at 6:04 AM Rating: Decent
I have not been able to spend much time online for the past few months and my account is not active at the moment.

What is the state of Everquest right now? Is Everquest 1 still active and being improved or has the Everquest population moved on to Everquest 2 and or other games?

It would be great to get a little feedback before i reactivate.

WB :) imho EQ1 is in a very good state.

SOE keeps on improving EQ1. surely parts of the population left to play other games, but some come back. and I even came across a true noob there 2 weeks ago...

iirc correctly though SOE announced a "free 21 days of game play" for inactive accounts a few days back. best bet is to check that out first.

have fun Smiley: smile

Definately use the free 21 day trial before you reactivate.

All indications are that eq's population is relatively stable and should be few the forseeable future.

EQ currently is almost exclusively a highend game with most of the attention going to raiding content and content that challenges raid geared players.

Good Luck and welcome back.

With the introduction of more single group instancing and the ability to aquire nice gear through crytals that might be arguable. Theres plenty to do and the newer expansions aren't all about killing the newest most uberest creatures for the newest most uberest drops.
