Ok wanted to start a foraging toon.
I know the ranger and druid class can forage.
I know wood elves and Iksar forage.
Am I missing any class/race?
Did a forum search didnt find anything.

Sounds about right, but add Bards. If you are foraging for fun and profit, tho, I would recommend a Ranger. I have stood Ranger and Druid of equal level, and maxxed foraging, with Foraging Machettes, side by side, and the Ranger seems to get the money forages more dependably. We are talking multi hours of hitting forage simultaneously while watching TV. The Ranger outperformed the Druid consistantly in getting the forage looked for. They will both outperform other Races/Classes due to skill level limits.

/autoinventory
/doability X (X=forage)
/pause 5
/autoinventory

Makes life easy.

Thanks Jonwin forgot about Bards when he used my account to post, since our machines aren't fast enough to play them well.

I would have just told him to roll a woodelf druid or ranger, since they are my favorite race/class combos. He was looking for something other then what I play, though. He does like his human ranger and was considering a woodelf rogue.. I mean scout.

Iksar can forage but they get the skill at skill level 50 and can't increase it. I think some of the others are like that too. Keep that in mind when you make the character.

Wood Elf rangers is a good combo. Rangers (Dont flame me if im wrong)get an AA that can make them forage more than 1 item.

Example: You hit forage and get 2 items instead of 1.

I do not think druids get this AA but if they do someone will correct me.

I have a 70 Ranger and The Double forage AA works like 75% of the time.

Druids do get the AA ability to forage more than one item, and my druid very commonly forages the money items. :)

but do rangers get the highest forage cap ?or is it the sameas druids?

I would think druids get higher forage. I dont really know because my druid is only 49 and i barely play him.

I would guess druids too.

My main druid is only 31, due to the fact that rest of guild went off to play WoW or EQ 2, but she always seems to find the nice flowers and lots of cinnimon. Of course I know she always on the look out for flowers being she is Primrose, the wee bonnie blossom of The Pathfinders.

Havent seen the two for one AA forage but will look but do know that a Druid friend can now forage 2 at a time most of the time. Suggest you set up a auto-forage hot key which will automatically put items in bags. My Ranger auto-forages also when bowing (cant if melee).

My understanding is that Druids are better than Rangers in foraging and that Rangers are better than Druids in Tracking.

Rangers and Druids have the same max number for foraging. Rangers do track farther, and have tracking abilities that Druids don't. I repeat, though, that I have put a Human Ranger and an Halfling Druid side by side foraging and the Ranger outperforms in getting the rare forage. Same levels, both maxxed out in foraging, both with Foraging Machettes.

So to sum up all the info.
Class foragers, Rangers Druids and Bards.
Race foragers, Iksar and Wood Elfs.

Always lost Halflings are a race. I made a Halfling rogue and it didnt have forage listed as an ability when I trained at the Guildmaster.
