Is something happening to EtN?

I just tried to play Escape to Norrath today, and it has 62 hours of patching to do (dial-up). I'm not sure what's going on, I played earlier without any patching, and now there are wierd files patching like clouds and sunrise/sunset (which I'm pretty sure weren't in EtN before, so it kind of rules out my old patch getting deleted). Thanks in advance.

It might be because SOE is doing another freebie period of the game on old accounts. It might be trying to patch the entire original version, which on a dial-up connection will take forever.

Well that stinks, is there some way I can bypass this and get onto playing EtN?
