around how many people really left EQ because of these server rollbacks that SoE did a few days ago???
I'm going to start EQ again in about a month or so, after a 4+ year absence. (Quit in September of 2001). I didn't want to make this another one of those "NEW PLAYER RETURNING, PLEASE HELP!!!!!1" threads, but I'm a little worried about the backlash of the rollbacks. The servers aren't, like, ghosttowns now are they?

Nobody knows, how many people left, if some people left at all, and absolutely not at this time.
I'm nearly absolutely sure that there won't be a mass exodus. People are simply too addicted. New expansion coming up, a game they love, people they know...
Honestly, I think that many people are really pissed off at the moment, but this is nothing compared to when EQ2 or WoW came out. And also from there, people are coming back to EQ right now.

there was over 140+ people in HHk alone( not counting the number in MM's) within 30 mins of the server being up.
none of my guild appear to have left.
none of my friends appear to have left.
none of the usual buff sellers appear to have left.
bazaar had a few less people when i logged on my trader but then it's a double xp weekend and they had patched 2 hours before so that doesn't say much.
i'll leave it at that for you to draw your own conclusion.

Ahh ok sweet.
It seemed to me that with all of the b*tching both here and on the Official EQ forums at station.sony.com that a good number of people were either going to switch to another MMORPG or just quit online games altogether, lol.

Catastrophic mistakes have been made before, and a bunch of people get up in arms and threaten to leave, or report people leaving in drones...but it is always negligible, and most come back in a few months anyways.

No way fuc[/b]k that! SOE rolled me back and I lost 2 AA's! I [b]could look at the fact that I since regained those 2 AA's, added 9 more, and gained level 68 and 69....but SOE rolled me baaaaaaack!
