Cheaters - warpingFollow

I have noticed a lot of people disappearing from sight and track instantly yet remaining in zone. I doubt they bound themselves to the other side of the zone to save them the run from one side to the other. Besides it happens so much more in recent weeks than I have ever noticed. There must be some progam out there that allows people to do this. It's pretty ****** when other players can't have an honest chance at killing mobs because some ********** is out there warping around the zone killing what he likes.

Why don't you jackasses just /OOC "Excuse me, I will just take that one rare mob you have been waiting to pop. Thank you."

**** you cheaters. ********.

I am not defending them for there is a program that will allow warping. Being as I 4 box I usually run my Mage accross the zone or to the place I plan on camping and CoH the rest of my party there when it is safe.

macroquest 2 is the cheaters program of choice, let people do the things you saw, also get thousands banned when soe notices too many doing it openly. people cheat in eq, its a shame but thats the truth. if you value your account don't join them, petition them.

I don't know if there really is an exploit that allows people to warp, but I've seen a glitch that does the same thing you describe.

I've had alot of groupmates and RL friends who I've seen zone, leave my track.Yet still show up as being in the zone.Even after they start talking in /g again. So I know they are already in the next zone, yet they still show up on /who and remain on /who for a few minutes.

Just my observation.

Same thing with the bug regarding succoring or zoneing out then back in quickly. Once and awhile this will cause the /who filter to show that their are 2 of the same exact person in zone.

Warping however is a very serious exploit and SOE comes down very hard on these people. They have even been known to come down on inocent people who are associated with these people. Reasoning being that they didn't report the people using the hack so they must be using it as well.

Getting caught warping, or even being suspected of using this hack, will result in an immediate ban, no questions asked. I have also heard of people being banned because they had a mage CotH them to a certain spot. SOEs reply was that the only way a mage could have gotten there by themselves would have been to warp in the first place. Their was a huge uproar about it awhile back on the mage website (can't think of the name of it atm) when several high end people had their accounts banned because a mage CotH them across a zone. Not sure of the final outcome of the whole mess.

I have seen the odd person here or there accidently give away the fact that they are using some type of hack program (ever seen a pally know exactly where and when a named mob has popd on the other side of the zone? I have) but warping is blatently obvious and those who use it are generally caught. An /anon GM will not show up on ANY /who filters of any kind.

Basically if your not willing to give up everything you have worked for don't cheat.

*nod* That is good to know.

I just wanted to mention it just in case some of these people really are just zoning...No piont in getting someone banned when there just trying to get somewhere...by normal means I mean.

But I will keep an eye out for warpers now that I know such thing exists. I just wouldn't /petition everyone because they droped off track and were "still in zone" without doing a /who all (there name) and such. Just to see what zone they really show up in etc.

On a side note. I have always found cheaters a bit amusing/pathetic.Alot of this game is showing off the things you have earned, levels/AA/items/etc and being proud you earned them. Going hey look at this (blah) I hacked just..isn't all that impressive nor anything to be proud of.So you can run a program. Good for you. Cheaters are a sad sad little being that have to hack to feel as cool as the rest of us because there to lazy to actually do anything. just my opinion of course.
Didn't mean to go on a rant there but *srug*

/rant off

And no I don't much care for cheaters. Why do you ask? :D

Now I'd hate to say is when you see players cheating openly is a sure sign of an end of an MMO c'mon now gang. I remember when the mere mention of hacker or hexer and you'd be like never seen'em.

But it's a sure fact.

while I'm not condoning warping, I've only had spawns stolen by people warping 2-3 times in the last five years. most people who warp do so for easy of transport. just because someone beats you to a mob doesn't mean they are warping.

btw, sony tracks warping.

they know when someone warps.

they don't take action unless it's a huge number (like 1000 in 24 hours) or they get a complaint.
