don't want to look like an ebayer
I shouldn't worry about the bazaar door in general or where things are. I think most people misunderstood my post completely. The instance of the bazaar door was someone who I had seen in PoK for quite some weeks (if not a couple of months)and did not know the bazaar door. This was just an example, maybe I should have mentioned the fact that this lvl 60+ didnt even realise they had a H.o.T (heal over time) spell as a cleric.
The post was not meant to 'make fun" of those who have been out of the game for a long time or who simply have not come across things. I have had my druid since 2000 and at times do not know things either.
It was meant as a "what sorta weird things do those who did actually buy themselves a lvl 65 toon (and yeah they are sold, via posts on this forum, via PM messages to my account here and on guildportal)say".
C'mon some lvl 60 druid who does not know what forage is? A cleric who doesnt know they have H.O.T spells? Must admit it's funny. Must also admit that this can be pretty 'dangerous' if you take someone like this on a raid. Personally I do not wish to group with someone who buys a high lvl toon (IF this is their first entry into EQ, if this is a 2nd.3rd. 4th account I really dont care). Personally I have no problem at all to take someone who has been away for years on a hunt so that they can practice. Getting killed due to the incapabilities of the bought toon p*sses me off, getting killed by someone who is rusty does not.
You might not have been around for awhile, might even be sort of rusty on your chanter, but this does not mean you have no clue what your role is in a group. And beside this, a "back after x years whats this Bazaar door I hear about" will not make you look either stupid, silly or ebay.
Ahh yes and Welcome back and if you play on AB let me know and you more then welcome to take your chanter out for some practice with us, and no we won't mind if ya get us all killed because you forgot you had a mez spell
