Give me my aura!Follow

Alright, I saw a Zerker today in Abysmal Sea. Guy had axes all around him.. great aura particle effect. Fellow said the aura missions were meant to be solo'd.. so happy Sony did this that I went out and bought the expansion. Currently patching.

Still, how does one find the task for one's aura? As an Enchanter, what does my area do? The Zerker mentioned something about different levels of it.. what's this about? Also, anyone know where information, with the sort of detail I'm looking for, is posted?

Ah, thanks much! I just ran a search for them on spells (compliments to your spelling, btw). +4mana/tick on Beguiler's and +6mana/tick on Illusionist's. Thanks for the info. :)

Anyone know how to get these things?

SK and BLs get no aura from this quest, I have not yet figured out if there is another quest for them, or if eq programmers just couldn't think of what aura to give them... Pet kick assedness would work for beasties, makes all pets in their aura a little stronger..? Any other classes not get an aura?
I researched, mages pre-emptively stold my pet kick assedness idea... pallies get an aura, but they need all the help they can get Smiley: wink . no, that's just a side note, I was wondering if all hybrids got skipped. *shrug* necros should get something that makes dots last longer.. then again most mobs are dead before dots wear off anyway. anyway off to surf the forums now, post where applicable

Thanks for the write up Jonnypanic, will be looking into that. Anyone done the 70 aura yet? I would imagine it's a bit more of a pain.

The level 70 caster auras can be achieved by a 3-mission arc given out by Val'Tannor in North Ro. I haven't seen any information on the level 70 melee auras as of yet.

The level 70 melee discs are achieved by collecting 9 skins from the Plane of Rage off of various red con named mobs. I haven't done this as of yet, so that's the extent of the information I have available, but it has been said it's extremely beneficial to have a tracker since mobs are constantly in a war with each other which means the mob you need could get killed by other NPCs before you ever knew it was up.

Edit: Clarification on melee auras. I have obtained the level 55 melee aura through the process mentioned above.

.... havnt done any of this but sounds like eq is coddeling its precios casters again.

This information is wrong. I've been all over this zone and there is no ghost npc. If anyone else has helpful information I would greatly appreciate it.

The information is right...the npc is to the left of the zone in point.

Go past the first building that is built in to the hill and then go past the second domed building...she is standing by a couple rocks and a hole.

Npc's name is Lilthill's Ghost.

Don't look for a ghost...she looks like a normal NPC.

It is about one quarter of the way around the zone, but still on the lower part of the zone wall.

Thank you. That's the first SOLID information to come out since the expansion got released. It's been a little frustrating to say the least. I guess it's to be expected from playing a game that is almost dead.

Or, you could go and figure it out for yourself and then give SOLID information to everyone else instead of having everyone else do the work for you.

I loved the 3rd mission for the 70 aura.

Now I am in a guild that is recently got into CoA so keep that in mind with my point of view...

but they made this mission so it does NOT require uber equipment to complete. We just did it with A PAL, CLR, MNK, and 3x ENC. THREE Enchanters. Hardly High dps. We got 2 or 3 most pulls because we were not bothing to split and usually did not bother mezzing the adds, Enchanters simply offtanked them.

The boss we tried to Single pull him with out clearing towards him. During this pull we had The red con Priest, 6 unmezzable Yellow cons and 4-6 mezzable white cons. The yellow ones were healing the named. With all that healing we could not kill the boss so we changed focus to killing the adds.

The unmezzable ones did not all come at once. It seemed there were 3 of them and another got summoned for every one we killed.

By then end of the fight we had all popped our jesters and Servants and were laughing in teamspeak, it was a great fight.

However a typical group may want to do it with a little more forethought and tactics. Our gear allowed us to get away wth being reckless. I typical group could have done the mission slowly and cleared up to the boss with no issues.

Seemed to have no repop in the zone.

You DO realize that these boards are here for the purpose of exchanging ideas and information, don't you? Oh and your assumption that I am an information leech and don't contribute is an incorrect one. I go out of my way to share information and help people out.

Anyway, mabey I shouldn't have refered to eq as a "dead game" as some people might be offended by that term. What I ment is that since comming back, there seems to be a lot fewer people playing then a month ago. It's just an observation.

grim,

the first post on the 55 aura was correct. you said it was wrong and bashed the person. then when almost the identical information was posted again, you got what you needed.

all you had to do was /ooc in the zone that was pointed out in the first post and you could of figured it out. damn, i had LESS information than that post and i got it done.

guess some need it spelled out completely.

that is what you are being bashed for. your lack of effort.

I have done this quest and the information above is correct. i have seen a few people complete and these are the rewards for these classes
Enchanter = Mana regen Aura = 4mana regen
Shaman = Malo Idol = Malo to nearby mobs
Druid = regen aura = 4hp regen (i think)
Bard = Hp&Mana regen aura = 2mana and 2hp (i believe)
Mage = Increase dmg output = 5% more melee dmg (i believe)
Please feel free to correct these if they are wrong
and add any new info

Can find atm but Mage ones add 5% and 10% to pet melee damage.

A friend of mine got the 55 mage one this morning. He said it did 5% to pet melee damage so that sounds about right. He said the mobs hit for up to 600 damage but he was able to solo it.

Aded help lvl 70 mag...for kicks

all across the zone are the (summer) (spring) (winter) & (autumn)...they con indifferent at first...

druid had NO problem keeping monk healed...they dont hit hard

Winter mob summons n casts...he was a bugger...

they have a bunch of hp...dont get discouraged it gets easier....
we pulled upto three near the end of the quest..( mind you everyone in grp MUST get all four items from each type of season)
..when you get all four go hand them back into lil(all four same time) and bam ....you will recieve you class specific spell, disciplin, aura....i wizzy got a trap..think rangers get traps..druid got cool aura...upped resists..minor healing..and will even remove minor disease i think...monk got new discipline...raises evades..dodges and repost i think he said...

also keep in mind that most of zone wont aggro...the Darkblue nightmare horses dropped a nice shoulder item for a bard.....


oh and everyone gets a belt...ferget stats...not bad tho...

Woot! Me and a Guildie (Mage) got our 55 Aura's last night! we had a blast doin it too.

Anyone have specifics on em..like how much HP the Druid Aura gives per tick?

Thanks for the info, i got my lvl 55 pally aura, it increases any heal spell cast within range of it, wich is actualy quite large. (and only for group members, i think, didnt have time to check yet)But.... the one main thing is. DO NOT ride your horse with it on, becuase, it will luanch you off any small hill or mountian, into the air, and it seems you are flying with lev or some such. Your Not...
As soon as you slow down, wondering why your not on the ground, you quickly find out, you have no Lev, and Splat. You have fallen for 20,000 hp.Please wait, loading.(sort of like the old wiley coyote cartoons, as he runs off the cliff....looks down..... then falls)

Yes, it took 3 deaths for me to figure that out lol, finally, when i was in Lava and went over a very small hill, and i kept going up. i knew something was wrong. So becareful, LOL. BTW this is with the holy steed, dont know about a reg horse.

Does anyone know if the auras stack? Like if you have 2 war's in group with their auras do you get twice the AC? And also I noticed it says it has one charge on it, is it used like a tome that you hand it or is it active all the time after it has been used?

Hopefully I will find a group to do the quest for it tonight and be able to anwser my own questions, but if not any information is always appreciated.
