Since nobody wanted to give you any actual tips on how to PL, I figured I would. This might be rather long, but I will try to explain how I PL. I use a level 70 druid to do this. You don't have to have one that high, it does help however. First things first have your friend gear up in baz gear. Obviously have him get the highest HP items he can afford. If you don't have the money, no big deal, just buy some plat. It's cheap as hell on most servers, averaging around $25 US dollars per 100k. Once I have him geared up, take him to any newbie yard and get to about level 4 or so, then head to PC. I cast the following spells on him: Chloroplast, Skin Like Nature, and Shield of Thorns. If you find yo need a strength buff to help him get a few hits in then cast Storm Strength on him. Most times, the first 3 spells are all you need. All you need to do is hit the mob for 1 point of damage and let the damage shield do the rest. I follow behind him, casting a fast heal whenever needed. In PC go up the ramp past the first bandit camp and take the first tunnel to your right. Follow that area a ways until you come to a small lake with around 20 or so Patog Phlarg Fiends or whatever they are called. You can continuosly circle that lake, healing and refreshing the DS until the toon is around level 15. After you leave PC I normally either head to Netherbian Lair for a few levels, following the same strategy as PC. If I dont feel the urge to do NL ( I don't like the cramped area) then I head to Marus Seru. If you are powerleveling a toon that has a point-blank-area-effect (pbae) spell it only gets easier from here on out. If they don't get a pbae follow the same strategy as before, only in Marus Seru I find I have to snare the mobs once they hit low health. If you find that your PL'ee can't hit a snared mob at low health, cast the spell Savage Roots on it. It is a root that does 0 damage, and the mob will always fight the closest person, i.e. the Damage Shielded Pl'ee. Do Marus Seru until about 22-24 or so, although exp slows down around 22. Next head to Dawnshroud Peaks. As soon as you zone into DSP from NL if you follow the creek you will hit a small field with tons of zelniaks. The zelniaks are great to PL on, as they don't have that many HP and don't hit all that hard. If you don't feel like zelniaks, then go near the Griegs End zoneline and kill Sambata tribal workers. I normally kill in DSP until the upper 20's to lower 30's. Next I head to Gulf of Gunthak. The beach with all the undead is a great place to PL since they don't run at low health. Just pick a spot and use the same strategy, killing whatever you see. As you get into the middle 30's you may want to move to the tunnel going to Dulak Harbor. If you find that Gunthak is overly camped I recommend heading to Scarlet Desert as an option. That zone is deserted 24/7 on The Nameless. I can't imagine it would be camped on other servers, as there is nothing there worth fighting other than a few quest mobs. In SD I always take a right upon entering and run up the wall a ways, then pull whatever mobs are in range. You can go all the way to the upper 40's in SD. In Gunthak I usually go to around 43 or so before heading to Dulak. Once you get into the upper 40's the exp slows down, but there are still decent spots to PL all the way up to middle to upper 50's. If I am really bored I take the character to Acrylia Caverns and kill grimlings, although they do tend to take you down fast if you have a few of them on you. After the upper 50's and lower 60's your PL'ing is pretty much over, then it's time to group. I also want to show you how if you are PL'ing a pbae class how easy it is to level. Pick a zone that is wide open, has lots of mobs, and they con at least blue to the person you are PL'ing. I like the beach at Gunthak, Marus Seru, and Scarlet Desert since they are wide open (with the exception of Gunthak). Using my druid I get the best HP buff available, either my own Steeloak, or cleric buffs. Then I put a regen on me, sow, Nettlecoat, and Nettle shield, and finally I drink a Shaman Damage Shield potion. I run around and cast snare on any mob I can find, dragging as many mobs as I want along with me. I try to pull at least 40-50 mobs at a time when doing this. Once I have all the mobs rounded up in a nice tight circle I have the person I am PL'ing step in and cast his lowest PBAE spell one time on the mobs. Sometimes a few mobs will resist him, but they normally always hit the majority of the mobs. As soon as they cast the spell they need to get back fast before the mobs aggro on them. I then let the mobs beat on me, letting my damage shield take them down. I usually use my spirit of the grove AA which adds more to my DS and heals me. If I start to get too low I run back until I am far enough from the mobs to heal myself. The whole pack dies rather quickly and the person you are PL'ing gets around 1-2 yellows of exp per pull. Rinse and repeat until you are done PL'ing.
That is how I do it, you can obviously interchange levels and zones to what you like and however many people are in the zones. I know those zones are not the Hotzones or anything, they are just what I am familiar with, so I stick with them. Don't let these other people talk you out of Powerleveling. There is nothing wrong with it, if you want to do it, then do it. Too many of these Nancy Boys ***** and whine if you even think of mentioning what they think of as the Taboo subjects such as PL'ing, buying accounts, or buying plat. I do all three, and sell all three also. Play the game like you want to play it and don't let the bleeding vaginas talk you out of it.
