i know there is a way to set up a macro that would allow me to cast a spell and pause for a period on a single line in a hotkey/social... I cannot remember the exact command to use both on a single line. any info would be appreciated

I think you have to do it in reverse order, as in...
/wait 30; /cast 1
or something to that effect.

/pause 20, /cast 6

Pause is the only command that can be used on the same line as another and it must be listed first.

Why would someone want to pause first thing in casting a spell?
You would I think, want to be using this in a second command line after you have already cast one spell or done one action.

the pause happens after the cast. even though it is listed first, it happens after the action that is after it on the same line. therefore
/pause 5 /cast 1
/pause 5 /cast 1
/cast 1

would have you cast spell 1 3 times with a wait of 5 seconds in between each one. hope that helps you understand

Actually the when you list a pause of 5, the wait is only one half second as a pause of 10 is equal to one second.

On my cleric i use this, esp when i 2box..

/stand
/g Inc heal to < %T > stay close or suffer....
/pause 40
/sit

Depending on the heal..time is a few seconds longer than cast to make sure cast gets off and to have the emote run through before cleric sits pretty again.

Dieselious, two things here.

You can get rid of the /stand command as standing is automatic on a cast now, and you need a command there to cast something after the pause dude, or your cleric will get booted from the group after the tank dies a few times.Smiley: grin
