Silly question that I've been wondering about..Follow

Hi, I have been raising a new necromancer with a druid as a backup, the necro is now 51 and the druid is 52. I've been having the druid sit to the side up until now to cast heals, regen and DS's when needed, but I was wondering about what would happen to my xp if I grouped them now? Would the xp decrease and take me longer to level up my necro (who I want to hit 70 as fast as I can to start raiding) or would the grouping bonus make it more xp? I know I would be killing a bit faster but I would mostly like to sit my druid nearby and have him sponge while I continue on as normal with my necro. As a sidenote, I do solo quite often without logging on the druid, as having a levelled character but having no idea how to play it isn't a good thing.

Grouping the druid will lower the exp your necro gets per kill, and will impact the amount of exp you can get per hour unless the druid increases the kill rate.

I did the very same thing as you, allkthough not with a necro ;-)

I found that after a while, when my druid was a few levels lower then my Warrior, it did not matter to much if I grouped her, anmd she got nice xp. That in turn made her level a few times, and the new heals and such helped to lvl the Warrior alot faster.

So, I recommend you look at the spells the druid get in a few levels, to see if anything will be benificial enough to make the loss of xp for the necro worthwhile.

Cheers
