If you are proactive, not too bad.

bah on the xp penalty for death, what do you mean by proactive? spamming the zone?

what servers?

Most servers are pretty much fine, now. You might have a little more trouble on FV, as it does generally have a lower population, and higher level average.

The XP penalty is no biggie these days. Just summon corpse to Guild Lobby (Dragons of Norrath expansion), get a 96% rez, rebuff, and be on your way.

By proactive I meant being willing to put your own group together form time to time instead of just sitting in PoK with LFG up.

Not sure I'd want to see Singdall in game. If he's as whiny as he projects himself to be.

good I am not prejudiced, as I do not frequent the asylum (?) anymore. I learned though, that you can not judge how much fun it is to play with somebody, from simply reading his/her posts.

no not really back, just taking advantage of a gift (if you can call it that) from an old friend. kind of an inbetween while i give blizzard a chance to rebuild their servers and mainly their loginserver.

povar eh... need a bard?

well i see money is not a problem any more. at level 8 i have already made, bought items, and remade over 50p

few years ago 50p was a big deal to anyone sub 30s or even sub 40s for that matter.

I agree it's easier now, spiderling silks go for 10pp on most servers I've heard. On Bristlebane at least low, medium, and high quality pelts are going for a lot more than they used to.
Everfrost and Innothule swamp are great places when very low level to kill spiderlings. Parts and meat of playable races go for a very nice sum too.

When I hear a youngling in PoK trying to sell spiderling silks or pelts or bone chips (since they are not begging), I will often give them a small bonus along with the bazaar rate, and tell them how to set up a bazaar mule/trader.

is the bazaar still bugged were you can not stay loged in for hours at a time to sell, or did SoE finnaly get smart and allow you to setup an offline mule?

FYI look for a young vah shir (bloody hell did not look and just created a female, duh) named Singerdanceer as a bard running around on povar. just made her real fast and she is running tutorial for fast xp and items.

you've always been able to stay in for hours at a time to sell, although they don't have offline vending yet. actually, I've had a mule up for three weeks straight before.

the occasional disconnects after a few hours are generally problems with the way your isp handles inactivity.

Yes, I stay on all night and into the day when I work. Basically whenever I am NOT playing, mule is on.

/edit There is a hide all trader command that I always use, helps lag if you have any. You can still right click on trader and follow the path to them, and that one trader is visible.

ok. well there was also a major error in the code from soe in the bazaar that was kicking people when the trader list got full. so that is why i was asking.

one more question.

hell levels, are they still there post 50?

also someone please explain this leadership xp. i got some the other night, have no clue what it is, or even were to look to track how much i have.

thanks.

Type L and your leadership window will pop up. I think you can assign 20% of your regular exp to leadership exp when you are a group leader. Think of it as aa's you earn that affects the whole group. Some of the most useful is health of target's target, and the hitpoint and ac bonus ones, and find path to pc. I never really worked leadership exp and now most groups want someone to have HOTT when grouping with them.
#18 Apr 11 2006 at 8:09 PM Rating: Decent
what is HOTT?

thanks on the L. ill look into that tonight if i get a chance to log in.

and what exactly does that do?

can someone provide a good link to the leadership tree so i can look at the pros/cons of the points.

thanks.

I never really found an online tree for it (though one must exist, right?).

Health of Target's Target costs 7 Leadership for the group version, and 9 for the raid version?

It requires the creation of a hot button. (Just pull up your leadership and highlight the ability and make a hotkey with the 1 button in the lower right hand corner of the window. Put it somewhere appropriate.) If you have three or more people in group, when activated, it'll keep a new target-window like window up. This window will autotarget the target of your target in the target window. (Bear with me here!) If you click on your HoTT's window, it'll switch your target to your previous target's target.

It's helpful since it lets you watch the life bar of the MOB if you're a healer, or watch the life of the MT and watch who has agro. Also, you can use it, for more spy-like reasons, to click on random players and see who or what they're targetting.

Its also helpful for monitoring who has aggro. Very important for us tanks as it lets us quickly know we have lost aggro and need to do sometihng fast.

so in otherwords it is a lazy mans /assist hotkey.

sounds more like a waist of points then anything else.

had a level 55 ogre warrior so yes i have played a tank. my assist key was very nice to tell me who to attack as the SA, and it did not matter who had pulled agro off of me if i was the MA
