Ok I havent been back playing for that long and I cant remember, Does your rez timer tick away if you are not online?

I clicked on my corpse and it says I have 45 minutes left to get rez. Is this 45 minutes of logged in playing time? Is this for the account or character?

EQ is a, what is it called, static world? Whatever the case, the idea is that the world continues and goes on, despite your presense in it.

So, yes, the rez timer ticks away, online or not.

On another note, it's as buggy as hell. On my account, whenever it gets down to about an hour left on it, it resets to about three days, so I don't have one.

You sure about that?

I was under the impression that the rez timer does not tick down unless you are logged into eq. However, that means that it will tick if you are logged onto ANY of your toons. If you die on your main and then switch to your trader, the rez timer will continue to count down. But if you die on your main and log out of eq for a week, theoretically you can still rez.

Not positive about this, as I try never to log off without getting a rez.

edit: added paragraphs so i don't hurt anyone's eyes =)

Hubby tells me that if you are in game anywhere in any form (other characters) your timer is ticking. In game rez timer is 3 hours. If you are off line it is ticking but not at the same rate, off line rez timer is 7 days.

There are two timers in effect: The rez timer only runs when that account is logged in on that server, so it will run if you switch to an alt. The corpse timer runs regardless of being logged in or not. 3 hours for rez, 1 week (I believe) for corpse.

Yeah, you're right, I forgot they patched it after I quit. =/

It ticks away much more slowly when you're offline, as the others have said above. Used to be the same, before the patch. :P

Persistent, yes. That's the word I was trying to come up with (though not the spelling!).
