Only thing I can think of, is for those that don't know how to use /loc navigation, and have an NPCs location.
There's alot of things about many maps I don't like. Tons of NPC / mob names that are very long. Light colored lines (especially in light colored zones), Scarlet Desert being a prime example). Lack of elevations, where you can't effectively use Height Filter: The Hole, Droga, BoT, all prime examples. Repetitive labels (PoK is a prime example). Lack of topography in any map, I've ever seen (Great divide would be a good zone to have this, as well as many others).
Lots more, I could mention, but those seem to be the big ones.
If I don't lose my patience, focus, and determination, I'm going to try and make a full set, that fixes all these problems, as well as addresses some others, such as splitting vertical maps, into sections (similar ot EQMaps, but using layers). And using graphic icons, instead of labels for imiportant things, like teleport pads, bankers, GMs, and general supply merchants (Food, Water, etc.), and for Tradeskill fixtures (forge, loom, oven, kiln, pottery wheel, etc.).
Well, side-tracked again .. maybe saying it out loud (i.e. posting it) will keep me more motivated :D Let's hope so. BTW: I ahve already redone, BoT less, Ag'narr's main room (didn't want to have to do the pre-cycle at the time), and less icons for the portals yet, as well as Kaesora. Did most of Overthere as well, but it has a default map, I hadn't noticed until I was already pretty far along on it ... Default kinda light lines tho, especially for the path and ruins, and even tho, it has alot of ruins, it's missing alot too :-/
