I'm not really familiar with the eqplayers premium features, but if I'm interpreting this announcement correctly, it looks like they are going to allow anyone with a game subscription (EQ/EQ2/VG) free access to premium features.

This is actually pretty nice, being that I've always wanted to subscribe to it but it was always buggy (not always updated). Pretty generous of Sony to do this for us.

I subscribed to it for a couple months right after it went live, but I found what I was looking for in magelo, so let it go...might check it out again.
Over the last 15 months, we've traveled to every corner of the United States. I've now been in 57 states? I think one left to go.

This has been my experience. The thing plain didn't work for years with no apparent attempt to fix it.
Same here. I have characters that I haven't used in years being reported on EQPlayers but characters I made recently aren't. It used to work fine for me, reporting newly created characters usually by the end of the first day. I don't know when it stopped working, but it needs to be fixed. It was working at least up to when the progression servers opened up, after that I dropped out for a long time and it wasn't working when I came back several months ago.

With one of the most recent patches, Sony prepared the UI for whatever changes they are making in Underfoot. One of those changes is apprently some sort of faction or keying or quest progression. I am guessing that this will be available on EQPlayers as well.
Just like when they removed the coin weight, it wasn't to be nice, it was because of changes related to the mercs.
