The title pretty much sums it up. I have a level 81 mage with 450 AAs (Mostly pet AAs), decently equipped (No raid gear, mostly MM gear), and I want to get some gear for my (Currently) level 16 SK. He'll obviously be flying through the levels, but I want to get some nice twink gear that either doesn't have req/rec requirements, or I can use at level 50-55.
It'd be nice to get a full set of his defiant gear too, the highest he can use at level 20 - if anyone knows where the best place to farm that is... I can pretty much mow through 40-50 level 30s with no issue at all without my pet, it'd just be nice to know which has the highest drop rate for his (Plate?) defiant.
Edit: Actually, maybe his level 26 (Ornate) defiant would be better.

Fungus Covered Scale Tunic and Weapons is all I worried about till 50s+ (pre-merc era). Two fairly easy to get weapons that will be descent to 60:

With defiant armor readily available, I can't imagine much twinking with non-restricted gear would be worth it from a time/effort standpoint. Look at the drops from Velious/Luclin era raid mobs (the best non-restricted gear you'll see) and compare them to even ornate defiant.

I picked Rumblecrush only because it's easy to get a newbie character into UP as opposed to deep into ToV or Vex Thal or something.

For a low level SK I prefer Shard of Night. The ratio is obscene and since it is SK only it tends to be cheap.
I find the defiant armour is hard to match but the weapons are often feeble in comparison. At least they have amazing stats but once you are maxed the ratio tends to be poor. I've forgotten all the arguments about paladin and SK weapons but it used to be that once you got to casting a lot during combat you wanted a fairly long delay weapon to avoid losing damage to the casts. This might all have changed now as it was a long, long time ago. So something without a level limit like a Reaver works quite well.

Wow some great posts... I'm definitely going to try the ToV trick (Thanks a lot for that, sounds like fun - now to find the guildies to help), and as for the Shard - I saw that in bazaar, but for 12k... I'm either gonna wait for it to drop in price or try to get it myself - is it that hard to get?

Shard of Night is a Chardok drop from the Queen if I remember correctly. Not sure, it is somewhere in Chardok though! Regardless, for your main it should be easily groupable or soloable so long as you can find the mob up and uncamped. Not sure what the drop rate is or anything like that. I have an e-erection for Chardok though, so getting anything from there is worth the time in my opinion =D
Since I saw you got a Shard of Night, the BoD will be become better DPS at 41, and the EoE at 45, but EoE isn't better than BoD till somewhere in the 50s.
