Is there any chance in me finding other new players to play with in this game to enjoy it, even though its 2010 and everyone is a level 8456 already and knows everything that makes the game tick? I'd love to enjoy this game and I'm downloading it as we speak. I'm fine soloing, but I like the option of having someone to play with.

Brand new, never played EQ or any MMORPG for that matter, probably not. But there are some newer players, that are returnees, and close enough to brand new, since they haven't played for years.

Leveling doesn't take too long, to get up to where most people play at, which is 70+. If you've never played and have no cash, it may take a few months to get there, since you'll have to get everything on your own, unless you find a descent guild that has lots of lower level equipment in their bank.
