Tinting Armor?Follow

Greetings!

I just purchased The House of Thule expansion, which included the previous two I didn't have as well, and I am LOVING mercs!

When reading about HoT prior to purchase, I thought I read about armor tinting. Back in the day we could tint armor/clothes by purchasing or crafting some kind of dye at Dulak Harbor, iirc. I can't remember exactly how it worked but can research that. My question is - is there an easier way to tint armor with the HoT expansion.

Thank you for any advice.

I don't remember anything like that in the HoT patch notes, but I also don't have HoT and haven't played for several months.

Vial of Prismatic Dye is what you need to dye armor. It's often for sale in the bazaar or you can make it also. Even without the dye you can play with the tinting window and preview what it will look like, but you can't save it without having enough vials in your inventory (7 if you plan on dying every piece). You can bring that window up by opening the inventory window and clicking the dye button.

Yther Ore.

Unfortunately, there's no easier way to tint the armor. You need to use the dye that Yther mentioned and then you can select your colors.

If (and that's a big if) they ever redo the character models, we'll get more and better armor appearances, and likely a new way to customize the look.

Thank you, Yther & amastropolo. Ah right...those were the vials used to tint armor. When they first came out I recall making them myself, but at this point I think I'd rather just purchase them. I tinted the armor on my main toon a lovely rose color (girly, I know...but I like it *grins*). I created a new lil Druid for the heck of it and am getting tired of looking at the green armor. I was buffed by a higher level Druid the other day and loved her gorgeous red armor, which is what made me think about this.

Ok...heading to the Bazaar.
