my main is a cleric now think they are a blast but it seems like groups are gettn very sparse, just wondering would bst be a decent box for me? with tank merc/slow/dps of a bst and my cleric just wondering how far id be able to progress, or would it be better to just forget about tank merc/bst and hit up an sk

thoughts would be much appreciated ^_^

I would look more to the shaman than the beastlord, if you are using mercs. You could then use a dps merc as well as a tank merc.
However I do think the Beast cleric combo can be a very good one. Less spell casting on the part of the beast, tank merc and pet for keeping the mob occupied.

What are your ultimate content goals?

Casual dabbling in group level content you'll be able to do low-tiers in the top-end content with some success no matter what you choose.

If you're aiming to be a boxing raider then your guild's goals may dictate the choice a bit depending on the class composition of the regular raid force (i.e., if regular force is 20 mains with 10 shaman boxes... might not be needing shaman).

Do you presently box or are you considering adding due to the grouping situation?

If my cleric was still my main (hasn't been since pre-GoD era) I'd be looking at my guild situation long before getting into boxing. I'll admit that I didn't like my test-drive of boxing though.
