Weekend Update - August 22nd EditionFollow

#1 Aug 22 2011 at 9:39 AM Rating: Excellent
You know the drill. . . .

Got some playing time in this weekend. Shaman got to 37, so I scribed my new pet, and summoned him. Also got keyed for Sebilis with my guild, and we spent a little time hunting in there. I did OK with the healing, with only a 350 point heal (no new heal until 44 for HoT, and 51 for direct heal. Also got some killing of HGs in. They are still good XP at my level, and of course, excellent coin.

I've moved over to DL to kill Yeti for the alchemy herb they drop.

Come on slackers. I know someone did something besides me this past weekend.

Still nothing in game. I need to get off my duff and find out where my computer is and if it's being fixed. I could of just spent the money and fixed it myself, but with having an extra warranty on it, I wanted to get my warranty money out of it.

Anyway. Been working on a little bit of wiki stuff lately. Not too much. Been sleeping too much when not busy with appointments and stuff. Hopefully, I'll actually update / create some this week. Getting the Cultural Supplies updated with the symbol aug templates, and may add in the focus aug templates and cultural weapon recipes.

I've been debating on doing an OoW aug cheat sheet, since they're rather involved, and my old personal one had a few errors on it, I never fixed.

I've been working slowly on an unlimited charge clickies page, but redefining the many effects that are listed as unknown, NPC, illusion, etc. categories is taking some time.

Have fun, everyone!

Got my Cleric to 17 on Fippy, and went broke buying spells :)

Heh. Been there.

Finally got my shaman high enough to be able to kill HGs now, so money isn't as big of a problem.

Didn't play EQ.

Did load up my ancient copy of Civilization II and get destroyed by the AI multiple restarts in a row. Defining destroyed (since I wasn't on a very hard setting) as "not running away with it and totally dominating the world". That game has always had the odd lure of being fun to completely outclass the competition in.

I didn't start playing Civ until IV. Very fun game. I haven't picked up V yet though. Too many other things going on. I haven't even finsihed Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood yet, and the next one comes out soon.

I always feel bad replying to a weekend update when I haven't had any time to play. I even feel bad that I haven't had any time to play...

This weekend, and week, I have been seeking the elusive $99 touchpad from HP. IMO it should come with the Harvard Business School's analysis of this RageQuit decision by the CEO. Whether I manage to get one or not, I've learned tons about ecommerce, inventory management, server load balancing, as well as the equivalent of a high level graduate course in managing customer's expectations. It's been an interesting week and I just don't see how a silly hurricane can put a damper on any of this.

I kinda want to participate in the weekend updates, considering I haven't in a long time. But I'm not sure how much my thrilling tales of logging in and going into half-afk slacker mode would entertain. Running low on good ideas for solo shenanigans is just no fun it seems.

This has to be the first time I'm looking forward to a raised level cap, just for the chance of some different ranger headshot fodder to solo.

Not playing much or going into half-AFK slacker mode is a fine update. I have times like that myself, or sometimes my update would play, played WoW (though my account is cancelled at the moment.)

It's nice to hear from people and keep the community going, plus we may learn something about each other, and that's cool too!

Yep. That's why I always rate-up these threads. If people only login once a week to post once here, it still means the front page is active enough in views to potentially give a variety of answers to people that are asking things.

If the allakhazam forums were to die I wouldn't stay interested during my breaks away (the o-boards just give off the wrong vibe).
