I began the Baking Trophy tests, hailed Event Coordinator Baublie Diggs in West Freeport, and was assigned the Journeyman Baker Quest. The instructions give the recipes to make and say to turn them into Judge Marion Teld`Mare in any order. I have about half of them done so decided to turn those into the Judge this morning. I have read the instructions for the quest over and over and don't see anything about having all the items completed before turning them in.
I handed the first item to the Judge and it was returned with the "I have no need for this" dialogue. Tried another item - same thing. Tried giving 4 of the items at once...same thing. Arrggggh!!! Even if I had to make all the items before turning them in, there wouldn't be any way an NPC would "know" that. And if that *was* the case, the Judge should take the items I was handing in and then have some kind of "You haven't given all the items to me" dialogue.
Before I begin baking any more of the items, does anyone know why I'm getting the ones I turned in handed back? Thank you :)

Did you make the items yourself or buy them from someone? There is a create step, where you must make each item first before you can turn it in.
Once you make each item, the corresponding "deliver 1 xxx to Judge Marion Teld`Mare" will open up. You can deliver them one at a time.
Open up your quest journal and select the Journeyman Baker Test. You can see your progress from there. If you are making the items yourself, perhaps you're making the wrong items or maybe there's something else wrong with the task. These are the items from the Journeyman Baker's quest:
Create 1 Pickled Bixie using tradeskills
Create 1 Hearty Meat Sauce using tradeskills
Create 1 Sea Green Cookies using tradeskills
Create 1 Grilled Crab Appetizers using tradeskills
Create 1 Wolf Fillet in Cream using tradeskills
Create 1 Pasta with Cheese using tradeskills
Create 1 Beer-Battered Hynid Jerky using tradeskills

In the meantime a friend told me what I had done wrong. I made the items before getting the quest so it isn't registering with the quest journal. Duh! Didn't know that, but apparently like all quests I need to do the work after being assigned the quest. Although there are some quests I've gotten all the items for and never hailed the NPC prior. Oh well...going to go make one of the items...again...and then come back to see if it updates.

Aye, that will do it. Sometimes the quest just has the turn in "deliver xxx to yyy" stage, in which case, you can pre-loot (or pre-make) the items. Ngreth intentionally put the create stage in because he wanted to make sure people made them and didn't just buy them in the bazaar.
