I'm not a techy but it should work OK, as I was using a Pentium 2 and an AMD on my second account (model before Athlon) in 2005-2006. It worked pretty good though zoning was a little slower than nowadays on my "up to date" computers.

Once you have a good video card from the era and the: d3dx9_30.dll file in your Everquest folder (or Win/System 32 folder) you should be fine.

That should work fine.

I have the old Everquest cd set (titanium edition) and minimum requirements as stated on the box are: windows98/2000/ME/XP NVidia GEforce 1 or Radion 7500,and 256MB RAM. 3.7GB H/Drive space

The reccomended specs for top performance as stated on the box are Windows 98SE/2000/XP or newer, pentium 4 or greater NVidia GEforce3 and up(or Radion 8500 and up)512MB RAM and 5.0 GB H/Drive space.

It should work imho.

Good luck.

That's a circa 2006 video card... I don't see why it wouldn't be fine with this game.

Some people had issues around Gates of Discord launch (early 2004) with graphics stuff but that was mostly on the SoE side of the equation to my recollection.

I know I have played the game after 2004 with video cards older than the one you cite.

You're recollection is correct snail. IIRC, Gates is when they released a totally new graphics engine (built from the ground up for EQ) and at that time, things went FUBAR! That was a troubling period (also when people were complaining about the difficulty of the game, and Woody arranged the sit in, and ultimiately, SOE had the guild summit.)

Anyway, I'm digressing a bit. AMD makes good processors. I had one in my old laptop, and it worked just fine. Never had an issue running anything Windows based with it.
