Question about Keyrings?Follow

Hi all - recently returned from a very long absence and I have a question concerning keys and keyrings. As a low-end mage I have been spending a lot of time in Najena, and as those of you who have been there, the keys pile up (I know the temporary one poof when you log but theres still three permanent ones). I seem to recall from long ago I had the key to Charasis, or Howling Stones, something called Hand of Glory, and I dont recall having to carry it once I had assembled it. I could be wrong but I thought it went on like a permanent keyring that auto-keyed you through doors they open. Is this because a) My memory is shot and Im thinking of some other game, or b) because the Najena keys have to be held on the cursor and then the doors to open them, they cant go on a keyring? Do keyrings even exist?
