Are the Steamfont Quests Worthwhile?Follow
Just returned again and saw the list of pre-expansion tasks/quests in Steamfont with the corresponding number of points needed for particular items. Are any of these worth the time? Do they give any AA exp? Thank you for any input.

I only did two of them the first I was disappointed in the ship with the bottle. Wanted it for my house but IMO I think the Dev’s dropped the ball and should have made it stationary to be placed on a table or shelf instead of floating around: http://forums.station.sony.com/eq/posts/list.m?topic_id=180052 .
The item I like and still use now and will use with new expansion is the port to Steamfont: https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=97848. The other items look okay but really do not shed any interest for me. Hope this helps.

Well, I don't have a house in EQ and, being a Druid, I already have a port to Steamfont, so guess I'll skip them and go on to other things. Plus I don't plan on buying the new expansion for a long time, if ever. I'm still waaaaay behind on the others...lol.

I've been doing the easy ones, which take very little time. Mainly for the mount (Veil Escape Device or whatever it's called). Also, if you just get a few work vouchers, there are tradeskill mats you can get for 1 ticket each.
Agreed, as a Druid, and with a PoK book also right there, didn't see much point to the gate item.

PS - the easy two are kill four skellies, and kill four kobolds, can be done in 5 min, no travel involved. There are a couple more, that with just a bit of time involved, can get you 2 more.

The top tier mats, "fantastic" or whatever (pelts, silks, ores, then for 10 tickets, the loans, marrows and spinnerets).
Just search here for "Hobbs", he's the quest reward NPC, all rewards are shown there.
Got my Veilbreaker Escape Device on Tat last night :) Just need 2 or 3 more tickets on the alts to get it for them today!
