I know they are researchable and can be bought, but I like to farm some for my army of alts getting near 60ties. So like the title says, where would you go to farm EP, SP and Glyphed Rune words?

Look for easy nameds, such as in, BoT, HoH, PoJ, PoN, PoTactics, etc. You can also get them from non-nameds, it's just that nameds have a higher drop rate, especially when looking for runes. I generally get nearly enough just from soloing / moloing PoP zones in my 50s and 60s to get most of the spells. Of course the randomness of the turn-ins generally makes a few them difficult to get even with 100s of combined parchments and runes.

My favorite spell system of all time. Almost impossible to get those last 2 or so spells, but lots and lots and lots of duplicates of the ones you have. /harumph

I always found it best to just get most of what I need, and then use two-four dupes to sell in the Bazaar, and use the proceeds to buy the 1-2 I couldn't get. For my main (years ago), I literally went through 15 extra parchments to get the last one I needed, when I could have just bought it for not that much, and then sold the turn-ins for the others, instead of 14 dupes of spells most everyone had.

Worst expansion spell system ever. 14 expansions ago, and they haven't done it that way since, so I guess it was obvious to them as well.

I don't know... "no matter how far you have gone down the wrong road --turn back" is a lesson SOE has never learned?

-some (mostly sadistic) will say the research system implemented and retrofitted with TSS fixes spell acquisition issues in EQ. Play any game made since EQ and then go back to EQ it only makes the EQ design path seem more bizarre.

Simple fixes for old content spells:

-put a trade-in quest npc like the Kunark spell quests that function this way, for PoP
-put all "hard to obtain" 1-65 spells also on Ldon vendors.
-put all "hard to obtain" 50-70 spells on DoN vendors.
-put all spells onto caster mobs of the appropriate levels in old zones up to the era the spell was from (i.e., level 40s Velious spells would also drop off level 40s Velious mobs. Having them be more common on named or difficult mobs (i.e., seb jugs is a good example) makes sense.
-Load up TSS mobs with spells as vendor loot. Why invent new mob pancreas to sell for peanuts... just put spells and useful items from old content into newer stuff as the price point required. At least the spells stack...
-Put notrade versions of the spells on really goofy out of the way, possibly behind odd faction, vendors. This would be a nice in-lore way to make some old stuff matter again.

I'm sure there is more possibilities instead of "pay a researcher" or "learn to love research" :)

That works for a fair bit of stuff really.

(I personally find it hard to skip though --always been a spell book completist.)

While I'm all for changes to the spell system, I don't think putting them on LDoN vendors is the answer. It forces people to do LDoN or DoN content to get the spells from PoP, Luclin and Velious. IMO, you shouldn't have to go to a different expansion to get your spells (yes, I know there are some exceptions). IMO, it would be much better if they upped the drop rate on the spells and runes and for PoP changed the system to no-dups. That would help a lot, and would give me benefits for playing in that content.

Then having a spell conversion with a very low trivial for research (or even as a turn in), so I could convert spell XXX to spell YYY (like the Kunark ones) maybe with a cost as well.

I'm in favor of adding things to Ldon and DoN as alternate ways to get it, not as a replacement way. More player choice.

Plane of fear drops for 1.0 made available via Ldon would be a good fix --since they can't seem to get their head around making PoF not attractive to permafarming. Ldon works best as there is no tradable currency --its purely reward from effort.
