I played a bit this weekend.

My little rogue on Trakanon server finished the tutorial and pushed to 17 in Crescent Reach. I spent a bit of time switching out weapons to build skill. I'm only partly dressed in defiant but the difference is noticable for sure.

Since I now have mercs I've been dabbling with that. Interesting feature, I can definately see the upside. If the server had skinspikes I'd be well into my 20s by now :)

Didn't log into FV or Vulak.

Mixed bag of stuff this weekend, doing solo tasks in the new expansion, getting some AA's on the new 75 shaman via headshot with the ranger in Kurn's Tower, finished off the Partisan achievment for the Grounds in House of Thule for another trophy (just Morell's Castle and Sanctus Somnium left!), camped the named spider in Valley of Lunanyn (it never spawned for us), finished off a very old task in Underfoot's Fungal Forest and another in Arthicrex.
The new expansion has a lot of people running around looking for task kills so an aggressive puller is an asset.
No complaints here, it's fun seeing a zone full of people.
Last night we camped the bottom of Argath where the lava tube things are and just set up in the middle of everything and had our bard drag stuff in. Ranger tank was a bit squishy at times but overall did ok, some of those mobs were hitting for over 10k.

I slacked last weekend. Last weekend wasn't a good one at all.

Anyway, this past weekend, I played a bit on Saturday. Got my necro a level and my shaman a level (he subsequently lost it though.) I also helped Ezio destroy some templar scum.

Sunday, we went to the Radio City Music Hall Christmas Show, so we were gone all day.

Resubscribed and have been playing my level 40 shaman. levels are going by fast - especially once I remembered I had Lesson of the Devoted to boost the already quick exp on FV. I also now apparently have the Throne of Heroes vet reward so I can port myself back to the guild lobby every hour. This is really a great "feature" and honestly should be available to all players.

From looking at the Alternate Advancement lists, I am shooting for level 55 for a first stop to accumulate a couple hundred AAs before moving on.

After spending Thursday & Friday beating my head against a wall trying to figure out why I was logged out of game about 15-30 seconds of logging in. This was after a 6 minute (yes, I timed it) wait from the character log in screen, so to promptly be logged out was another indignity.

After much downloading and redownloading (don't ask) of the newest Launchpad, deleting all the UI_character_ini files, I finally read on the Sony EQ forums about many others having major issues with looooong zone times. One particularly savvy sleuth figured out this was only happening if one was in a very large guild. I am and once I unticked "Show Offline" in the guild roster, all was fine. The amusing thing was SoE having an emergency patch the day after this was posted to "fix" the problem. Smiley: rolleyes

So, finally back in game. All last summer I was told that Splitpaw was a great place to gain AAs at my druid's level (78). I finally got around to going there this weekend. The last I was there it was a 20's+ level. The people who advised going to Splitpaw were so right - in just a short time I racked up quite a few AAs. I can now hold my head up proudly and proclaim I have a grand total of 250 AAs. Smiley: tongue

My level 51 Paladin took a journey to one of my favorite expansions - Velious - to start gaining faction with the Coldain. I remember being so confused back in the day whether to get Kromrif or ummmm, the other giant faction. I went with getting in good with the cute lil Coldains so I (druid a long time ago) could hang out in Thurgadin to trade skill. Prior to Crescent Reach, this was one of the best locales for that.

After killing countless Frost Giants, orcs, kodiaks, snow cougar, snow dervishes, and more drakkel dire wolves than I ever want to see again, I was hanging out at the Nexus Portal to return to PoK. The mobs there have no manners whatsoever. I'm totally minding my own business, waiting for transport, and keep getting attacked by every mob that wanders by. I could easily kill them all, it was just pesky. Right in the middle of a battle with a Frost Giant the portal went off...leaving a half-dead giant behind. I thought that was very humorous for some reason.

That trek necessitated my going through my loot to figure out what was worth keeping, selling, putting in guild bank, etc.

Note to Samatman: Redheads > all (including DE's) Smiley: lol
