I took advantage of the double xp weekend like I never have before. Burned LoTD 3 times and used up my stock (from a /claim years ago) of 5 xp pots. I had "sharing xp" toggled on for a bit but still managed about 180 AA. I played a fair bit of time, but basically only the duration of the xp buffs and 1 hour with my brother in Icefall.

The AA really piled on when I remembered the spider camp in Icefall (red to me at 71) which Jonwin and Alwayslost had taken me to once a few years ago when I was on Povar. Mammoths were great 69/70 but I think the spiders are better for me solo now.

So now I am approaching 1k AA. I broke down and maxed combat stability & agility (I had been hoping Elidroth's vision of granted aa would be live by now... that change will awaken some of my alts if it even occurs). I am pretty much ready to move to level 75 so more valuable aa open up, but I am holding a bit so my brother gets a comfortable basis of AA on his necro at 70. I'd rather not outlevel him again but may have to if he plays it super-casual.

(Update: Apparently after x number of screen shots posted at full size, the forum default is to post others in thumbnail size to save space. To view the regular size, please click on thumbnail.)

I had a very busy "virtual" weekend that encompassed several realms.

Thurs: In WoW my Blood Elf Paladin, Fiera killed the evil troll, Kel'Gash, as her final quest to reach level 20.

After this conquest, Fiera was awarded her first War Horse.

Fri: Back in EQ, High Elf Paladin Azalysa was utilizing the double exp weekend to boost her level to 59 to also obtain her Holy Steed. While taking a break in the Guild Lobby to sell, bank, and rest, she peeked into the "Resurrection Room" and noticed an Ogre who apparently was not having a good day; however, he did manage to die quite "artfully."

Sat: Azalysa, accompanied by her Wizard Merc and "Steadfast Servant," wiped out the undead in Veksar's and now proudly gallops through Norrath on her first Holy Steed.

Sidenote: This was a particularly proud moment for Azalysa. She was "born" in 1999 and has spent years patiently watching her Woodelf "cousin" Terrillian mature in years and strength, yearning for the day she too could venture into new realms. Teril wiped tears of joy from her eyes to witness her valiant cousin achieve a long-time goal.

That evening I stepped into SecondLife to find an item featured in the December "Renaissance Hunt." The merchant who offered that item had created a "mini-hunt" on the grounds of her large property. To reach my goal I visited mystical lands including a most enjoyable and relaxing gondola ride on a scenic canal while listening to classical music. After fighting mobs this transition was soothing to body and soul. I had just completed the mini-hunt and collected my gift when I was delightfully surprised by an IM from a friend I originally met in InWorldz (another virtual world). Now also in SecondLife, my friend is a biker with the soul of an angel who loves classic rock and the blues. I was asked to join him for a dance and "catch up chat" at one of his favorite blues clubs. I quickly changed out of my Victorian holiday attire into something more appropriate for this venue and had great fun dancing to the blues.

Later on, my SL "Twin Brother" Alexi stopped by to say hello. I have been so busy in EQ and WoW that I had not visited with him for quite awhile, so this was another treat.

Screenshot

Before the New Year rang in, I stepped back into WoW. Having created my first toon with the Horde, I decided to see what life was like with the Alliance, thus CynWyn, a Human Paladin was "born." Being used to the elven world, CynWyn seemed a bit "chunky" in size; however it was soon evident she was born to fight and followed two of her "virtual sisters" into the profession of the Noble Paladin.

Screenshot

Sun: After some initial training CynWyn was deemed ready to venture out to battle the Murlocs, a particularly nasty breed of walking fish creatures. CynWyn was surprised but excited when she was offered a horse to ride the distance.

Screenshot

Having applied herself diligently to her training came in handy when she was attacked by an entire group of Murlocs. The combination of her sturdy physique and skill in weaponry was unleashed, leaving 5 dead Murlocs in her wake.

Screenshot

Having achieved level 11, CynWyn awaits further adventures.

Terrillian took a rest this weekend. She is holding steady at level 80, gaining AAs occasionally, but has been enjoying helping returning players to EQ.

I am suffering from sore throat and coughing, and have been since Wednesday.
Took off sick Thursday, but worked on the Ship Fri., Sat, and Sunday. Very good weather, was able to spend time on deck without peacoat. It was busy Fri. and Sat. but I was able to make it through with only a little bit of pain. Firing the gun of Friday, I was able to see the explosion had created a smoke ring. That is uncommon, so it made me feel a bit better. Part of the reason I made it through were the very nice visitors I was able to talk to and educate.

Sunday was a lot slower only 111 visitors, on a nice day. I got by without having to do a lot of talking since my co workers were well trained.

Sore throat is still with me.... (

Still trying to get my EQ legs back after a rather long break. I've managed to get my FV 65 Shadow Knight 40 or so AA's in the Plane of Hate. No idea why I enjoy that zone so much, but it was always one of my favorites and has been decent enough exp for me.

Fun to be back despite everyone I knew being gone...at least I can solo :)

Not much, logged on 1st level toons to get AA info. Made a few that I had made on Octavia's account for that purpose, so I had all 16 classes at 1st level. Hung out on some other toons mostly afk while I was working the AA spreadsheet. Then Sun I made a Rng on Vulak`Aerr and got it to level 5. Played tonight for a long time, and got to 13th level. Did alot of running around. Went to Freeport to ge some Fire Beetle Eyes, came back to Kelethin and bought some spells and scribed them. Ran to Kaladim several times to turn in CB Belts, and Lego Pads this last time.

Probably should head to PC soon, as there should be more grouping there with Luclin being new, and the cash value of the loot is better there. I really need some money to get to Iceclad to buy some Toolboxes for the bank. Probably will stay in CB for a while though to try and finish the newbie armor and weapon quests. Then maybe do some research about what descent soloable stuff I can get for upgrades. Iksar Berserker Club should be a good 1hb for a while.

Learned some of the quirks of the server, like KEI landing on 44 levels (I was really hoping it was like the old days and would land on a 1st level :P ).

Well anyways, it was lots of fun, eventhough most of it was solo.

Have fun everyone!

Yther Ore.

Not too much for me this weekend. Had a procedure on Friday. Waiting for the results today or tomorrow. That left me pretty sore, so I was in bed most of Friday night.

Saturday, I was sick as a dog all day. Fever, wicked sinus headache, chills, a bit of vometing. Was in bed all day Sat. Work up with like 20 seconds to go before midnight.

Sunday, felt a bit better. Still a bit sore. Got a few kills in on my shaman in Dawnshroud Peaks. Someone had spawned the tribals, so the XP wasn't as good as it would have been with the hoppers (it's a lucid shard drop area, so high levels are always zerging it.)

Monday, went to work. We were open, worked a full day. Tired when I got home, so just kind of veged out.

Happy New Year everybody.

Soloing is the way to go. *grins* I'm on FV as well - "Well met."

I'm so sorry to hear you and Jonwin were ill. Sending good thoughts your way that the results of your procedure will be fine. *smiles* (Waiting for medical test results is the WORST!!!)

Seems soloing isn't quite what I'm used to. Made a Shaman yesterday for fun, 12ish hours later he's level 46 and I'm still baffled.

Unless I'm PL'd (which I've only done a couple of times for some AAs) I have no earthly idea how people level so quickly solo, even on FV. Fortunately I don't care if I level slowly (obviously...lol) - and I do a lot of other things in EQ besides fight mobs, ie. work trade skills, help newbies/returning EQ players, just have fun sightseeing, and socializing. I can log into EQ and spend at least an hour just chatting to a friend. Still has me scratching my head and saying, "How did they DO that so quickly." lol

I kept waiting to get a Whisper from a GM telling me I was abusing a exp bug or something when I'd ding after killing 3 mobs.

I'm certainly no power gamer, but it's nice to get somewhere til I find my new place in Norrath

Nope, is you were using hot zones, or a merc 46 levels in 12 hours is not rediculus.
