problem getting spellsFollow

#1 Jan 25 2012 at 2:23 PM Rating: Excellent
Hello friends. I am having trouble getting my lvl 89 and 90 druid spells from the spell vendor in Ferrott. I follow the text, will only get lower lvl missions, not the greater or glowing. I have asked several toons I know and they havent a clue. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

There is a faction requirement for 89s and 90s. Dream Delvers faction. I can't remember when it unlocked for me but I think it was amiable. The faction went up fairly quickly during progression (I didn't have to grind just for faction).

Good luck

Lovely. It was bad enough they put the level 79-80 druid spells in a much higher zone that I had no earthly idea how to navigate and knew there was some mob that could see through invis just waiting to jump out of nowhere...lol. I considered it one of my major achievements to make it safely to the vendor and back without dying.

Thanks for the heads up for....much later. :)

EQ is somewhat better than it used to be for spells.

-simplified (if you are a hardcore tradeskill fan, but I digress) research system

-most spells are made researchable after they are a few expacs older

-the rank system allowing most rank 1 to be got without the faction/quest/progression factor.

What the Devs don't want to acknowledge is that the system is still so inelegant compared to other games. A trainer in the major cities that knows the spells of a class does make sense...

Also, the spells that remain locked behind factions/quests/progression no one is currently doing. So unless you have a force (box or guild) able to do it... it becomes an extra timesink.

Personally, I'd like a compromise that somewhat ties into EQ tradition (like when chanters had to run to High keep for some spells) in that all spells are available somewhere from a merchant that likes you (as long as you haven't killed his/her people) but maybe only has that one level 70 nonresearched spell (notrade version). --or just go the easy route and put all spells (aside from rank 3) on venders in libraries (pok and cities) on they aren't current expac.
