Ok I broke down and bought a mercenary slot from Sony. What I would like to know is there anyplace I can go to see how to use them instead of trial and error? I know how to switch my tank and healer but how long do I wait, do I have to return to my bind spot before I can switch him up and then do I have to return to my corpse before I can rez me? I would appreciate it if someone could point me in the right direction for some...direction! lol Thanks Jaelithian, Level 88 Wizzy

You have to be in the completely out of combat state to switch. After a switch the merc that was just pocketed will be unable to be popped for the normal duration you see after suspending them. If you try switching to it, you'll get a message letting you know how long you have to wait.

So long as you meet those qualifications you can switch anywhere you like, no need to go to bind or anything.

Nice to know this but how do you get your healer merc to Rez you, say you and you release tho your bind point, then head back to your corpse, bring out your healer merc, will the merc Rez my body automatically so I get back some of my death penalty exps or is there a command to give my healer merc to Rez my corpse or what ?

If my character dies and I have to use the same dead characters merc to rezz I usually head back to where the corpse is or summon/drag corpse to a safe spot. After that click on my corpse then pop/revive merc. If your merc died also it may be a while till you could revive it and its mana might be low so you may have to wait a few minutes...Dont know if there is a better way but this has worked for me in similar situations.

Good luck.

Healer mercs will rezz you automatically. I've actually died before the merc could cast a heal and had it immediately rezz me.
