Copying from the EQ Boards for those that are interested.

We had a great run on the Test Server with our Guilds Unintended Consequences and Intended Consequences a few years ago and the leadership is putting together something again. So check out the site if this interests you. It's a great time, great people and great memories.

UPDATE: I put up a quick website for us to use and communicate. Come check us out and lets continue to build this great family! http://progressionx.guildlaunch.com

Hello friends!

With the announcement of Everquest Free To Play, I've decided to bring an old idea back to reality. Myself and others have set up and run 4 progression guilds in the last 5 years. Each guild had its own successes and failures but, each and every time I played, it was a highly memorable and enjoyable experience!

With Free To Play coming in March; I think this is a great time to get the guild running again. I have a small officer core that has expressed interest to me. For these types of guilds to survive, they need to have a strong core that share values. Right now this is very preliminary. I am starting this post early because I need to find several more core members and officers to get this project off the ground once more.

I've been apart of 4 progression guilds and I have a good idea of what it takes to keep these running smoothly. Unintended Consequences of test, Intended Consequences of test and Wrathful Inquisition were the big 3 that I had the pleasure of being involved with. Members from these guilds still have nothing but great things to say about their time spent there. I still keep in touch with many from those times because of the great bonds we built doing EQ progression.

If you have any interest in this project, now is the time to get involved. We will be discussing and voting on rules, pace, ect. I am looking for a few more officers but anyone interested at all should get involved as soon as possible. Help us get started and make your voice heard. Without a dedicated core of players, these guilds will flicker and die very quickly. Feel free to contact me via this post or private message. I will also be leaving a character up and running most of the day. I will not always be around to respond but I will leave my character up to catch any messages or questions you might have.

Character is ProgressionX and I am currently located on the Drinal-Maelin server. Please stop on over and lets make this project something to remember!

Good luck with it. I did the prog guild on a regular server thing once, sounds like you've learned from some of the mistakes we didn't make it through.

Unfortunately, I don't really have time these days. Plus, I'm doing that kind of progression on Vulak now, and not really interested in going back to the beginning again so soon.

However, I think it sounds like a lot of fun, and I wish you guys luck and success. When The Golden Age was being put together on Vulak, there were tons of people that joined (over 800 at one point I think.) It fizzled out, but people liked the concept.

Be sure to drop by from time-to-time and let us know how you're doing.

I've always enjoyed these progression type guilds. I did one on test which only made it to Kunark, one on Luclin that made it through PoP. I'm not certain, but I'm pretty sure I'll be joining up when march rolls 'round.

The members will be voting to see where our progression begins. The vote is already up on our page right now so make sure to stop in and check it out.

You'll be able to dust off those old toons and copy them over to the Test Server for free or you can start totally fresh.

new information

Progression X is recruiting all classes/ races at this time. You can find our website at:

http://progressionx.guildlaunch.com/index.php?gid=250512

We are a newly formed progression guild located on the Trakanon server. Our goal is to progress through the expansions, one by one, in both raiding and group content. We are all very excited to relive this content in a friendly and semi casual manner. Thank you for your interest and I hope you will consider joining us!

Progression X was designed, from the ground up, to be a casual friendly raiding guild where people from all walks of Everquest's past could relive the content they love. For this reason we have many rules and regulations in place that are meant to benefit the members and keep the guild consistent and fun for as many people as possible.

*We will be officially starting March 1st
*Server: Trakanon
*Starting point: Classic
*All class/race combinations allowed
*Level cap: 51
*Only healer mercenaries will be allowed at this time
*We will be running 2-4 raids per day anywhere between 3-5 hours each. This is dependant on what raid targets are up.
*Fellowships will be allowed
*Usage of PoK will be allowed for quick travel only
*Usage of Guild hall / Guild lobby will be allowed

*Some zones will be opened before their original expansion.

Quote:
The hole- Opens with Kunark
Jagged Pine- Opens with Kunark
Veksar- Opens with Velious
Cazic Thule and Innoruuk- will be moved to Velious as raid targets
Veeshan's Peak- is a Planes of power raid
Droga/Nurga and CazicThule (the zone) - will open when we breach Temple of Veeshan in Velious
Splitpaw- Opens in PoP

*We are using a blind-bid DKP system with DKP decay.

Quote:
2 DKP Hourly
5 DKP: Minor boss kill
10 DKP: Major boss kill
15 DKP: Major boss kill (First kill)

Quote:
This is an example of a mock raid-

We are raiding Lord Nagafen in Solb. We cleared and killed Nagafen and a Cloak of Flames has dropped. The officer will call into chat, "Taking bids on Cloak of Flames, send your highest bid to me now."

At this time, if you were interested in the item, you would send that officer a tell with the amount of dkp you wanted to spend. This number must be whole and you must have the points listed on the website. Any points not yet listed, do not count! We accept one bid from you and that is your best offer. The officer will look over the bids received and announce who had the highest bid and won the item. In the event of a tie, the players will random 1000 with the highest roller paying the bid amount and winning the item.

We work with a decay system that is put in place to combat people who horde their DKP. We want new players to be able to join us and not face a mountain of horded DKP. The decay system is basic and will affect the hardcore and hoarders more than the casual. This is by design and working as intended =)

At the beginning of each expansion, the DKP totals will be cut by 25%. I will use the following example. This will occur at the beginning of every expansion for all players.

Feb 29th end of Classic
Frenzic 100 DKP
Arendris 35 DKP
Giggles 15 DKP

March 1st beginning of Kunark
Frenzic 75 DKP
Arendris 26 DKP
Giggles 11 DKP
