I just came back to this game since 2005. I have no idea how to make plat. Anyone mind telling me a good zone for level 70 necro to kill mass with good gem drop rate or any other ways of making good plats? Please and thank you.

The Serpent's Spine Expansion is a vendor loot candyland.

Easy camp for a level 70: bears, snakes & wolves in Goru'kar Mesa. You'll probably be able to kill nearly all of them before the respawns start. The named all drop an item that vendors for decent plat. The normals drop at least one item that stacks and vendors high (such as shiny bear tooth). There's also vendors really close.

Blackfeather roost, good AAXP for a 70 necro to boot, kill harpies and griffons like mad. Loot feathers and such.

This is basicaly true for all group content TSS zones. Most of them you have vendors in the zone too.

Rathe Giants is fine if you have it to yourself.

Old Sebilis (even though you now would vendor the spell drops) can be decent coin as well.

I knew a monk that swore by Dulak's harbor, a beastlord that was all about Acrylia Caverns.

What should I kill in Dulak's Harbor?

I have always found the planes to be sold because of all the diamonds etc. that drop. Somewhere like the plane if disease would be solid and give some decent AA XP if I'm not mistaken.

*shrug* My monk went there and made just short of 7.5k killing the entire zone.

You could try Acrylia but not knowing your gear or comfort level, I don't know if it would be good for you or not. My 73 warrior with her merc did fine but she didn't go into the castle.

I honestly don't know how I got results that were so much different than yours. Kill rate probably (I was 2-shotting much of the trash mobs and I killed every mob I saw, no skipping) but even that doesn't explain a fivefold difference.
