The message on the loader says "Maintenance Notice: Monday, April 23, 2012 - 24 Hours!" That is a long time! Wasn't sure if they posted that yesterday and meant IN 24 hours there will be maintenance.
The notice has been around for about a week in various locations.

For once I actually have to defend SOE on announcing the downtime in advance. It was right at the top of the list on the Launcher (upper, right) since at least late last week.
To be fair, however, I feel that for major, planned outages (non-emergency) they should ALSO push a pop-up window in our face when we enter world. It is the only way to be sure you are delivering the message to the player base.

God I'm jonesing hard just knowing I can't play later...
Humm,i just tryed and all servers are online..has it finished the 24 hrs? or is it at 12am PST?

Logins for all SOE games will be down for 24 hours.
UPDATE, 3pm PDT: EQ and EQ2 servers are confirmed up! However, expect to see a lot of "Login Rejected" while zoning, but you should be able to immediately log back in.
UPDATE, 3:25pm PDT: EQ2 EU servers are reported to be giving a "fatal error" when attempting to login.
NOTE: This information has changed multiple times since originally published. This is the official maintenance notice as of late Sunday evening:
SOE will be performing maintenance beginning at 00:01AM Pacific on April 23, 2012. This will impact the following services:
Logins for all SOE games will be affected from 00:01 AM Pacific to approximately 23:59 PM Pacific.
Commerce transactions, including purchases on our websites and in-game marketplaces will be unavailable between from 00:01 AM Pacific to approximately 23:59 PM Pacific.
Account management will be unavailable starting 00:01 AM to approximately 23:59 PM Pacific.
Forums will be read-only starting at 00:01 AM to approximately 23:59 PM Pacific.
All Games will be unavailable starting 12:01 AM to approximately 11:59 PM Pacific*
We apologize for this interruption and will resume all affected services as soon as the maintenance is completed.

I've been having really bad luck with server downtimes. Seems about 50% of the time I want to login (very casual player) the servers are down haha. I do play on AU timezone however.
i am on atm,had no issues logging in
