Finally got some play time the past week and weekend. I started a Pally on FV named Undeaded. Seemed like everyone was making SK's and wanted a tank besides a warrior so I made a Pally. He's been fun so far mostly leveling with undead and using the proc that Pallies get. I leveled him to 40 in the time I got to play and hope to get him 55 before this next weekend to work on AA's. Should not be an issue with the bonus xp on the server and the amount of Ping's Potion Packs I received from all the free cards they give us.

Real life I got to see my cousin play some baseball. He plays for a traveling team and he happened to be about an hour from us so we went to watch him play. He did well and one of his teammates hit a grand slam! It was a fun game to watch just wish he could've won on Sunday so he had the chance to play in the bigger tournament in Florida. All-in-All a great weekend for EQ and real life stuff.

I haven't had any real time to play in about a week, not since last Monday when I had enough time to spend a couple hours in the hole grabbing 7 AAs(I'm at 120 now), and got to 97%xp until lvl 70. Also made 5k pp.

In RL, I worked all weekend. That's about it.

Gonna get some play time in today, though. Finally gonna hit 70 on my WAR, and try and grab the 20AAs that I'm grabbing per level until 71(where I want to get 300 at least).

Logged in to see that the revamped zones are down for my level range (Unrest and Lower Guk). Tried Permafrost with my new group, but got smashed quickly. Limped back to Direwind Cliffs. Gained about 30 more AA on my SK and two levels on my bard project. I have to say that the SK's passive abilities to self heal are outstanding. Now I know why everyone has an SK.

The SK is level 81 with 1750 AA, and the bard is level 77 with 3 AA. The goal is to get the bard to level 81 before the new AA curve goes in, and then farm tons of AA in Direwind with that duo. I figure I'll need at least 1,500 AA on the bard at level 81 to be effective. I'll have three things working in my favor: new AA bonus curve, Test server increased exp, and DWC hotzone. Now if there could be a double exp weekend.

Real Life: Played a lot of Halo Reach with my friends back in the States. Worked a little bit. Bought a grill for the Toronto apartment. Cleaned and re-arranged the balcony.

I found out about those (Lower Guk), the hard way... that was painful.

Saturday I went to a Wedding, then later that night to my BF's cousins birthday party. Didn't play much this weekend, though I did get a level on my Necro and Cleric (63 & 61 now). Took a few seconds to buy a plot and rebuild my house as well (yay for the save layout option that I had clicked before moving servers).

Got a reply to my 'guild name' petition as well, found that because of the new way to make guilds (any account level, and only needing 1 person), they couldn't free my old guild name up...so I started a new one for my friend and I... so if any of you FV people see "The Unknown Chevaliers" running around..its most likely me or an alt, and very infrequently my buddy Black.

Its not a permanent revamp, but some of the zones (ie. Lower Guk, Unrest), were scaled to higher level for the anniversary events. I do believe the mobs are level 80 in LG right now... very red to my wandering 63 necro.

Yesterday when I was in Unrest, the zone kept re-spawning over and over again. All of the mobs were grey to my level 76 bard.

Each year, just after the rest of the anniversary events, some zones will change to a higher level version (higher level mobs and better loot, but same zone and mob layout). There is some nice loot to be had in these zones for the level range.

This year is went Black Burrow and Temple of Cazic Thule for a couple of weeks. They reverted back to the old version when Unrest and Lower Guk went live for a couple of weeks. These reverted back to the old version when Permafrost and Crushbone went live.

So at the moment, it should only be Permafrost and Crushbone that have the higher level mobs.

Last I played was the double xp weekend. I took advantage of one of these for the first time ever and collected about 100 aa. I had a blast ;-)

Sweet, despite an inevitable death(unless I can form one hell of a solid group), I'll have to check out crushbone revamp. Another favourite of the oldies. Lots of good times had there.

Crushbone and Permafrost are tuned more towards the upper 80s to low 90s crowd.

Haven't been on during this "moving" thing in real life.

Internet at the new house looks to be good though, and my brother is getting EQ itchy again too... so looking forward to having some in-game updates to post soon.

Courtin the Cleric died 4 times over the weekend/Monday. Darn those rapidly aggro animals in the Steppes. Didnt play a whole lot since I worked 11 hours Sat and then went to the Baltimore Science Fiction Society meeting. http://www.bsfs.orgWhat I did do was log on to most of my toons, turn on LOD and log out. DId get some double runs for Courtin, Jonwin and Muir.
Still considering Moving a toon to FV.

Good to see so many vet newbs, like me, coming back to enjoy the game.

I think I scored a great Guild name reminiscent of older, more innocent times.....

"Fine Steel Raiders"

I've been grinding AA's on my old SK, circa 2000, and leveling up a cleric. Got him to 55 and working on AA's in Blackfeather Ridge.

Trying to get my house finished up before the party I’m having on the 4th. Nothing like having a deadline to motivate you....
