This is just a PSA to those of the EQ community. When you log your trader in LOOK before you just set up trader, thanks.

Never fails i go to check my trader to see some giant ogre has logged in right on top of my trader and just set up trader without a second thought.

Often folks dont see the other trader if they happened to log out where you are. Logging in the take over the spot, but one can still buy from you if they use /tar.

What I don't get, is why people log out while still standing there. I always moved my baz toon out into the middle of the room to avoid exactly that situation. I thought to do so after having a really hard time when there were about 10 traders standing in an area that IRL would be about 4 square feet. What possible reason would there be to log right there on the wooden platform? Saving 3 second when you log back in?

/bazaar, check "hide all traders" is most likely the reason. I know I personally hate seeing other people standing around and I always disable them, without bothering to check and see if I'm standing on someone.

And don't forget about the person who just wants to be a PAIN.....Don't fool yourself they are out there....probably more on Zek....but you always get the player (Size Challenged) toon that goes afk right in front of Guild hall door or an entrance or an exit to a well traveled area. Sets up in the bazaar on a mount (which is hard to target to buy from anyway) or lays down which is rude in my opinion too. I have a long time character, Trader Armourcarr, and opponents, not so friendly traders, try to cover me up with a larger toon....I usually go into top view take a screen shot when I log on with time and date (/time) and then if someone decides they think it is cute and camp on me.... I just petition and send in the old screen shot and new screen shot and usually a GM steps in FAST and I don't seem to have that problem for those players' toons anymore.

I avoid the problem by setting up my trader in an area that no one (or very few) people are in. I don't have that problem ever when I do that. But I have seen it happen a lot.

I can't see any reason why a person would make an Ogre (or Troll) trader otherwise.
