I started my epic 1.5 quest years ago when it cam out, but didn't finish it. I don't have it in my quest log. Do I need to start over or how do I find out how far I was?

I don't know of any sure fire way to tell where you at. Although going through you bank may reveal some items to give an idea. Also, not sure if this will work or not, but you might try speaking the main NPC (Hailing him/her) and seeing what they say, maybe it'll be different than the starting dialog and give and idea of where you are at on the quest.

I just finished the 1.0 druid i began in 2006. I just went through my bank to see what items I had and picked up from there.
On the other hand you can start going to the various npcs and hailing them to see what they say, or begin again. Spend time in your bank first. I was hunting for one item I already had....

Very true. Your bank can hold a wealth of information. When I first came back, I destroyed a seashell in my Cleric's bank. Big oops, as it was for his epic 1.0. While awaiting the results of a petition, I restarted the quest. I was lucky enough to get Burgurgle's Crown with a very short camp, but then I was reimbursed the shell by a GM. Just as an aside here, in the past, GM's have been much maligned. Since my return to the game, I have had to petition several times and have received what I can only call superlative responses.
