So, they haven't offered an SC deal yet? I thought they would have by now. Have some WalMart cards waiting at home, ready to go :)

"To help celebrate EverQuest’s 14th Anniversary, we’re putting big bags back on sale! 24, 28, or 32 slots bags will be on sale beginning March 15 in the EverQuest Marketplace! Pick up a bag, or a bundle of bags, today and have all the carrying capacity you could possibly want"
There is a price break on the Journeyman's Pockedted Rucksack large Bundle (4) 32 slot packs for 7500sc where one bag costs 2500sc. Available in Gray and Purple. same with the smaller 28 & 24 slot. They don't run the packs very much and they sure come in handy.
That's for starters I would assume as the celebration continues there will be other items ran as specials.

Yeah, I saw that, but not really that interesting to me. With all the 16 & 24 slotters I have from numerous expansion pre-orders, and 24 & 32 slotters for tradeskill mats, I really never hurt for bag space.

That's why I like the bonus SC deals. Everybody saves on whatever items/services they are interested in.

Think about it... during the time they're offering these bags for sale they're not very likely to have a SC discount deal. It would undercut their profit on the bags. My best guess is a SC promo might come AFTER the bags are taken off the market, OR toward the end, maybe, if bag sales have declined to zero. Of course, that will **** off everyone who bought bags at full price before that. But this wouldn't be the first time a SC "sale" followed some other marketplace promotion, and Sony must be familiar with the old adage "There's no pleasing everybody!"

My best guess, however, is that a SC discount promo is coming "soonish" so you might want to get down to your local Walmart and buy some $15 SC cards, since Walmart can be spotty keeping those in stock. Incredible as that seems, since the cards themselves probably cost 5cents each to print.

As Marketing goes.... it is best to put Station Cash double or triple after the event. That way people think they should of bought so they better now, but end up spending before the next sales event.
Discipline!!!....buy the station cash cards like Tatankseventh has and wait till they run either 2x or 3x station cash. Last time I turned in was at 3X and saved until this recent bag sale so I got the 4 bags still at 7500 sc but cost me in RL only $25...Which for a bunch of pixels is till a ton of real hard earned money..LOL.

Imagine that.... One of the 32 slot "Rucksack bags" cost 2500 SC or technically US$25.00 which is as much as almost 2 months subscription. I've bought maybe 8 or 9 since they came out for some of my characters and my shared bank slots on 3 accounts, but this price is way too steep imo.

The drop rate of the Rucksacks on some of the named that are listed as having them on their loot table is also abysmal, probably by design... To facilitate maximum profit.

The best deal for these bags is to wait for a Triple SC promo and then buy some Walmart Station cards which give you an extra 500 SC. That's 2000 SC from one $15 card which tripled yields 6000 SC. Buy a 4-pack of the 32-slot bags for 7500SC and effectively you're paying $4.68 per bag. That's still not cheap (almost five real world bucks for a bunch of pixels LOL) but it sure beats laying out $25 per bag for a single, a lucridous overcharge.

Also keep in mind the 32-slot tradeskill bags, Extraplanar Trade Satchels, which can be player-made. This is a no-fail combine for any Master (300) Tailor. It requires 1 Fantastic Animal Pelt, 1 Extraplanar Silk, 1 Tailored Pack Pattern (vendor-sold, about 1pp) and 1 Reinforced Filament (vendor-sold, 262pp.) Your friendly guildie master tailor should be willing to do the no-fail (for them) combine for a modest gratuity. While this only holds tradeskill components, some of you might be surprised at how much loot from trash mobs goes into this bag.

My problem is that I live in the caribbean and Walmart does not operate here, sadly. Though I see what you mean re the major savings to be got with the card. US $4.68 a bag sounds pretty reasonable to me.

Good Idea, I will ask a master tailor I know for a price to make it for me as the bazaar traders have the 28 slot ones for 500 000 pp even the 24 slot ones are 325kpp and up on my server atm. Which is outrageous !

Thanks for the insight.
