How much data a month required to play eq.Follow

Ok here is the situation my career requires that I travel across country a lot. I have two options for mobile 4g broadband; I can get 10 gigs full 4g speed which throttles down to 2g. I can get 20 gigs full 4g data after which I use up the data it is gone until the next cycle. I will not be setting up an all-night trader, not raiding a lot, will turn down spell effects to a minimum or off, turn down the graphics. I will be staying in chain hotel which has wifi for major updates, playing on much as possible. Will I have enough data to play eq how much data does it take to play approximately each month let’s say 5 hours a day 7 days a week.

It uses basically nothing. I'm running around guild lobby as a test and it's using around 300-800 BYTES per sec. You mention turning down graphics, but I don't think you understand. You're not streaming the graphics, you're sending and receiving player movements/actions. VERY small bits of information. Part reason it's kept small is because the company needs to keep bandwidth costs low due to the sheer number of players online. Also keep in mind this game was developed to be played on dialup. If you want to check yourself you can get something like "Network Meter" gadget for Windows 7 that shows your data transfer rate, then just run EQ in a window so you can monitor it.

But yeah you're never going to max out that bandwidth cap if you only play EQ alone. Just stay away from watching videos online, it will eat at your cap fast and I remember those overages on cell modems were nasty. :)
