Real life: I was at Fanexpo (think comic con) in Toronto, Canada for the weekend. Lots of great costumed people there.

eq: just not feeling the ranger so I have given that up. Also not feeling it with my old mains that are nearly all on FV... I have a bunch of new alts started but don't think I really want to play any of them. Since I might go silver.... I rolled them all with the starting cities I wanted (not gold you get forced into Crescent Reach) and got them a decent merc.

Spent a little $ to move my 2nd chanter main from a server I had no connections to (character was there due to being born in a progression guild when TSS was new. Prog guild is long gone). I decided to rejoin Jonwin on Povar. Spent a fair bit of time getting "Yesmit" (my chanter) set up to play. She's an odd one with some weak gear (a mix of TSS quested and defiant mostly --but an opal encrusted stein for a secondary rofl), but does have epic 1.0 done. Level 62 and only 19 AA when I started playing her again, but most skills are decently levelled.

I decided warrior merc, animation with boon of garou (allows me to send it to attack without getting tagged first or having the animation empathy AA) and level 55 hotzone (Bloodfields) was my best bet. Oddly, I had never been to the zone before, or at least don't remember it. I burned half of a lesson of the devoted and got about 12% regular xp (needed to secure level) and 5 more AA. I have done a lot of charm soloing with this particular chanter before so I may dabble with that again.

As I mentioned elsewhere, I spent most of my EQ weekend on my mage. My Shadowknight and bard tied up in DN camping for Vaniki (which means logging in once in a while, saying "nope" and logging back out) so it was all mage, all the time.

Started in the Hole at level 63 and got my sea legs back. Went up and down the tunnel at the bottom until I hit 64 and thought my new Destroy Summoned spell might be worth trying in Infected Paw. When I got there, my first thought was "bleah" since stuff conned white-red to me but I gave it a shot and my mage, pet & cleric merc tore them elementals up and ruined their day. Hit 65 in short order and decided to collect AA's for a bit. Eventually decided to go for 66 and was glad I did since the new pet makes all the difference, especially with cleric merc mana. I'm back to AA's now and went from 18 to 120ish between Friday night and last night. Collected the various named drops, some of which were upgrades for me, and beat up that red demon guy a few times although his drops are crap. Even did the augment quest despite it being prestige and now sitting in my bank.

For variety, I went to Bastion of Thunder and collected the old hotzone augment and caster shoulder drop from there. Went to Plane of Air and that was ridiculous -- got chased out almost immediately and have no idea why that's a level 65 hot zone. Sure, stuff was conning dark blue but they were all hp sponges and long, dragging fights with lots of potential adds. Noticed that the final Silverwing charm would be an upgrade for me and went to HoH to camp the final ring. Had the augment drop and more shards than I can shake an elemental at but no ring. I think I'll continue between farming AA's and hitting old hotzones for the more useful quests/augments since they're not prestige.

Toyed with the idea of throwing up a guild app on the GL boards but I'm not sure how long I'll be playing anyway before the novelty wears off. Snailish, I'm on Povar/Quellious as well if you want to add me some time. Mage's name is Merym. We can be gimp together Smiley: laugh

I spent some time on my enchanter, leveling her up. The only reason why is because of the summoned items I use for pottery combines. And yes, I am that cheap. Hehe. Instead of spending thousands and thousands of plat, it'd be cheaper just to have my own chanter to do the summoning. =)

I also whipped out my main (wizard) and did some Hero's Journey stuffs. I absolutely love doing those quests.. I've found some nice clickies along the way.. Like the one that ports you to the Steppes (it's a ring item - forgot the name of it). Since wizards don't get a Steppes port, it's a nice item.

I dusted off my 71 warrior. I missed some snares with https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=35100 offhand with weapon affinity 6, dying several times to adds Smiley: bah I finally figured out bandolier /blush. My snares are a lot more consistent now Smiley: grin

I hit 72 with a few defensive AAs. I plan to play her more working toward a goal of level 75 with the relevant AAs along the way.

Have a great week !

Same ole same ole for me. Still grinding out the AA's for 12 chars. I am also doing the Hero's Journey on my Chanter (55). Just finished the Dorina chain in the Mesa. I'm hung up on the last task (killing the Queen) in the Stone Hive (Warwing #4) and Queen Nhyalea (Save the Queen #5) in the Mesa. Still too difficult for a moloing Chanter. Eventually though. I am almost finished his level 55 AA's so will take him to 59 then try the tasks again.

I experienced killing a rat in real life for the first time, It had been terrorizing my kitchen for a few days now. I caught it and had to make a choice, either kill it now, or keep it as a pet that would eventually get eaten by my cat. It felt the latter would've resulted in a painful dead so I decided to off it quick, but it was tough. I couldn't bring myself to snap its neck so I had to think of something else.

I thought it'd be easy after killing so many rats in EQ, but I didn't have any rusty swords to slay it and I didn't want to use one of my kitchen knifes because they'd be contaminated. I thought about poison, but I really dislike using it, I don't even use it against bugs. Then it hit me, "I will have to kill it just like I kill bugs... With my fists!". So I winded up and delivered a killing blow. Now I feel like a horrible human being for killing a small rodent that carries with it all sorts of bacteria that can kill me. I buried him in the garden and gave him the name "Clostridium".

And I haven't had the chance to play EQ because of work, school, and my stupid thesis.

True story:

I was doing some yard work at my parent's hobby farm, wearing work gloves. I was in the garage and a mouse ran across the top of a rusty old car of my dads. Instinctively I swatted it... and actually tagged it. So I had this stunned mouse on the fender. I tossed it out in the driveway gently (mice can cause a lot of damage to a car in storage, not so much in a mostly overgrown hobby farm). Imagine my surprise when a chicken rushed over and choked it down whole (think snake).

Anyone on povar send a tell to Courtin, Jonwin, Adeste, or Primrosex. I have stuff lying around the Aude Sapere guild bank going to waste.
If you want a casual guild look up Unholy Czars.

My weekend in game was doing the 85, and 90s hot zone tasks for many aa and exp points. Hit 94 with Jon on Friday eve. Also did some of the argath quests. Rotating amoung the above named toons most often. Playing the beastlord every 4th day or so and am sitting with Shaman in Korascian wastes waiting for a group to do j5 tasks. (The last few have been when i was grouped for hot zone tasks. )
