Mercenary Contract from /claim....Follow

#1 Sep 13 2013 at 9:34 AM Rating: Decent
I had done /claim and claimed the Mercenary Contract into my open inventory slot. I then clicked it to open it. I was reading the various types of mercs, and I think I ESC'd out of the entire thing without choosing one.

Currently the Mercenary Contract is no longer in inventory and I do not have any Bloodbone Merc in inventory or elsewhere. Nor do I know how to re-claim the item to get one.

Is the item completely gone, did I ***** this up?

I would first log out completely and do a file check via the "validate game assets" button on patcher - in advanced options button near bottom left corner. Then log back in and check again.

If not option 2 (a long shot) is to see if you can find the item and recover it (as is done with a deleted item) by going to any NPC vendor/trader and r/click on it. Then towards the top right corner of the default (sell/purchase) window is a recover button. After pressing the recover button a list showing all items ever deleted by the character would drop down.

If the item is there you would need a token of reclamation(available via marketplace) to recover the item.

If the item is not there a petition is the final solution.

Good luck.

Clicking the contract just makes the merc available to you. Did you go to the correct mercenary person to actually hire a merc? Don't remember which one handles bloodbones off the top of my head, but that could be Holly Ware in Pok maybe?

Mercenary Contract from Hadya Ware is what I glean based on Gbaji getting me on the hunt.

I would definately do some NPC hailing before thinking I messed it up. My /claim Nihil merc contract worked exactly as Gbaji describes... so I'm inclined to think bloodbone is the same (been ages since I claimed bloodbone so I can't recall for sure that Hadya is the npc).

When I did this claim, when I right clicked on the claim item I got this in my inventory Contract of the Mender. It's still in my bank after all this time. I never right clicked it.
