My story begins with me in Halas. I am there to find the leader of the Army of the Northern Wolves, and to learn from him what it is I am to do to honor and glorify Rallos. I find Renth McLanis in the farthest part of Halas ( which I find strange, but more about that later ) and I speak to him about becoming a member of the Wolves. We speak, and he challenges me to take to the fields of Everfrost and cleanse them. He also notices my pathetic armor and tells me to speak to Rollian Galothar. I ask Renth why he sits here in the arena and not out fighting on the fields himself, but all he can do is lament about his friend Ivan McMannus and how he was lost on those very same plains. He asks me to look for his friend while I am out there and to bring back any word.

I am confused as to why so great a warrior as Renth is not out looking himself, but trust in Rallos and head to speak to Rollian. He gives me a list of items to hunt for so that I can forge my own armor...the armor of my people. I ask him why he sits here, why he is not bloodying his axe in the name of Rallos, but he says no more and bids me on my way. As I travel the alleys of Halas, I see a downtrodden people who live in fear. They are truly in hiding, and have even built a deep and cold lake to separate them from the plains of the "frost". I say a pray, and plunge into the cold water, as I hear the quiet whispers of the guards as I leave, about how I will never been seen again.

Finally, I reach the plains and I there is nothing but monsters, wolves, bears, goblins, gnolls, and even undead as far as the eye can see. I thank Rallos and with the weapon my father, the great Shaman Rhaah gave to me (https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=643 ) I begin to kill everything I can see. But no matter how many I kill, two more seem to pop up and I begin to get discouraged. Why is not the whole Army of the North out here, for with them I am sure we could gain ground. But I do not come across one other barbarian, and after I collect all my pieces, I head back to Halas to make my armor.

At the forge, as I make my glorious armor ( https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=22108 ) I realize that Halas is no longer a place of glory. The powerful Shamans and even the mighty Beserkers all just stand around...and I realize that it is not Rallos that has forsaken my people, but they that have forsaken Rallos. I see idols to the false human gods of the Tribunal, and it all becomes clear…the true blood of the North is no more...

I decide it is time to leave and strike out for the glory of Rallos. I follow a trail on the plains. killing all along the way. It leads to a ramp, and at the top is a tunnel guarded by huge Gnolls. I thank Rallos and wage into their midst, staining the snow with their blood. I explore the tunnel, and come across more Gnolls, and collect more bones, and pelts from their cold bodies. Finally, at the end of the tunnel lies a city of sorts, a city of Gnolls...the answer to my prayers!!!!!!

I throw myself into their midst, the prayer of Rallos on my lips...but again, I find that no matter how many die to my blade and no matter how strong I become, 4 more appear from the depths. Finally, I have to flee lest I be destroyed. I find that I am in the Hills of Qeynos, a place my father had described, as he had journeyed here on an errand once in his early years. I decide that I will find Qeynos, and the sewers that he talked about that were filled with monsters, and it is there I shall make my name.

As I run toward the city, I come across a defiler of nature, ( https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/npc.html?id=2972 ) a human Necromancer. We do battle, and I show him that Rallos is greater than his evil God...

I see the city ahead, and try to remember the words of my father...I explore the walls of the city looking for an opening when i see what looks like a book, so I touch it and...eveything goes bright and the world shimmers...then goes dark...I am dazed and wander to my left, and as I regain my wits a little, I see a stone in front of me...I go up the steps to rest on the stone and regain my balance when...it all happens again...

I awake in a dark and mysterious place...strange creatures abound, and as I look up I see what looks to me like the world, but how is that possible?....as I sit there trying to figure it all out, I am contacted by a conjurer who tells me I am on Luclin, the moon...he tells me he and his friends are here and find it a great place to learn and grow. I meet a powerful drow wizard, as well as one who practices the dark arts and raises the dead, and a goodly ranger... I know I should attack them in the name of Rallos, I know also they are outcasts like myself, and that maybe we can forge a new home, and that perhaps they even understand the ways of Rallos better than my people...

( wanted to write this for all the Lunar Mutants to know a little more about Rhaah and why he acts the way he does...Smiley: sly...thanks for reading...Smiley: grin )

A mighty warrior of rallos has found himself in a strange place on the moon. Wonder what more glorious antics and glory will be brought by the barbarian?

The newbie armor for a barbarian looks pretty nice :) It will be hard to find some better stuff until a bit later levels but thats the case with most of the tanks here on the moon!

Although, i am privy to solusek ro, i can appreciate the kind of chaos brought on by followers of rallos zek, all the more easier for the flameseekers to rise to power in the anarchy Smiley: lol

Rallos has blessed me with such a place as the moon...so many things to stab, kick, bash....and my new friends, although they follow false Gods, have the heart of Rallos.
As he would want, I rush across the dark plain, avoiding the guards, as I do not know how they feel about strangers. Immediately I am set upon by Skeletal hunter https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/npc.html?id=7712 and a Skeletal Brigand https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/npc.html?id=7707. And although I have a stabbing weapon, it is blessed by Zek himself, and I am able to dispatch both leaving only a pile of bones.

Further in I see why I am here...strange creatures abound. Large beetles https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/npc.html?id=7663 attack without warning, only to fall to my blade. Even strange lizard creatures are here https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/npc.html?id=7710 and https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/npc.html?id=8680 , one of which even tries to poison me. I collect their hides as trophies, and I think maybe my new friends might be able to use them to make some clothes to protect themselves....

As my strength grows, I find a place where the skeletons and thugs https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/npc.html?id=8449 share a camp....and I determine, that with Rallos at my side, they all must die. I stab away and clear the camp, which brings the call to others...a more glorious place I could not find. Finally, I know I must rest. I return to the "book" that so wonderfully brought me here, and I lie down, secure in the knowledge that The great Rallos Zek is truly with me and I have found a new home...

( Wow, what a difference being a slightly armored warrior makes. My monk did nothing but pile up corpses in the Thicket...Smiley: laugh , but the warrior is flying though this stuff. I am level 10 already, which for me is crazy. Need to find some more weapons, but otherwise am totally enjoying just bashing the heck out of stuff and chatting with the new guildmates. AtnaEverywhere has been especially helpful when I have been on, and it was great to see another warrior (Wizorb ) in the mix last night

Speaking of those nasty skeletons, there is a somewhat in-complete quest on allah for the jawbones called Rotting jawbones. That guy in the the middle of shadeweavers wandering the path takes them....

For weapons, try to see what you can pickup, but also go after those hoppers to earn a hopper claw weapon with those glorious trophies. (if you can the claws Smiley: glare, apparently they are a rare drop) it also takes a wooden pratice mace, but they are sold in shar vahl.

I'd also suggest the first cave in paludal caverns for a warrior of that level, the xp modifier is good, some of the junk the burrowers sell is ok trash loot. if you get a Pulsating rock down there, I will pay at least 10pp for one! (Its for a quest in shadow haven for House Midst faction.)

In an alternate timeline, a Norrath where the way of Zek is what all must thrive under or die, Yesmit the enchanter was meditating. Raised to believe in no god, sworn to serve the Brotherhood of Discord, he sought the usual serenity of emptiness...

An emptiness violated by the shimmering likeness of a Barbarian warrior battling lunar pests, scene after scene of carnage. Soon the visions contain a froglok warrior is in the midst of the fray, and a dark elf wizardess eyeing the scene with approval. More strangers fill Yesmit's mind: a female dwarf tormenting undead shadows, an erudite mage delighting in fire, another dark elf... a fellow enchanter holding the lunar masses in spellbound thrall, a demented druid running amongst the most hideous tribesmen imaginable as they beat her senseless, a cleric forsaking his clan in Kaladim, so many others then a large cat playing guitar... it becomes too surreal.

A loud voice, a godly voice... Yesmit knows this to the core of his unbelieving heart, rages in his mind: "GO! GO and serve!"

Stunned awake, the very foundations of his unbelief shattered, Yesmit is is wide-eyed as the comfort of Discord is pulled from him strand by strand by the furious cosmic presence. He awakens in a large grey stone underground room. He is naked except for his threadbare robe and worn staff crowned with a skull. He still looks like a member of the Discord brotherhood, but that is no longer his calling. He has a new cathedral at the heart of the moon, and Rallos Zek must be heeded.

[/occ: moved my mostly naked 60 chanter mule from Zek to Cazic Thule server. I figure <Lunar Mutant Rights Now> folk deserve a buff bot (particularly for KEI) as we approach that level range. The last few weeks on the moon was worth the $15 SoE got out of me to do it. But, he's keeping his Priest of Discord inspired look, as covered in the story above. He'll be bound in the Nexus for easiest access to most.]

I am here to inquire if I am, possibly, chopped liver. Because it looks, from my point of view, that I, perhaps, am perceived as , I dunno, chopped liver.Smiley: mad

liver? Nah, your awesome possum! Smiley: nod

I wasn't in game when I was typing it and I couldn't remember all the race/class combos. Broonsbane is playing a necro dark elf I think? Felicite is... eek... a beastlord (pretty sure.... I think Vah Shir?). Yther is a ranger, no clue what race... I haven't caught Gallo (driftwood) online to invite let alone remember what he is. I know Jonwin is Jonwin... but for the life of me no idea what class(es) he has made, it matters not as they will be full of win and full of jon!

So it's on me. Please forgive me Bijou. (I haven't been in game yet... your character is Bijoout [gah... did I spell it right? lol], I think a shaman... not sure what race).

Yes!

And I second the motion that Bijou is neither "chopped" nor "liver". *nods*
