I tend to agree...Aion was a brutal grind at the outset ( very similar to the original EQ, I felt ), and people bailed ( that, and the horrible spam gold sellers...
) I loved the mechanics of that game, pretty cool quests, etc... didn't mind the grind cause I had no time table. But people fled when they found it was hard and couldn't be cap in a day....
We sometimes like to "wax nostalgic ' about old EQ, but while it was amazing for the time, I am glad it has updated itself, and I truly enjoy it now more than 99...I think if it was that same grind, it would have died already.
