So, I dinged 65 on Friday, ported back to Throne of Heroes just in time for a random MGB -- being 65 and all, I figure I'll hang out for some Virt etc.

Oh no. No, I didn't get Virt.

What I got were several buffs that cranked my HP up over 17k, my mana over 12k, and my stats running over 500.

Smiley: eek

I mean, I'm already feeling some love at 65; in full defiant gear with all HP related AA and self buffs I am... (let's say it together kids) OVER 9000!

But this...this was just mind boggling. For grins and giggles I pulled like 5 rooms in GE. I know I had over 25 mobs on me, popped my Vet benefit for double XP and just kept targetting whatever mob my Warder was on. I swear most of the mobs beat themselves to death on the damned 350ish DS on me before I could melee them.

I couldn't USE enough mana my regen was so high and my pool so deep.

Man, EQ sure has changed!

Yeah. There's a level range where those buffs are ridiculously nice. I remember the first time I went hunting with ~1000/tic regen on my wizard. Yes... On... My.... Wizard. Nutty. I just blasted stuff as fast as I could blast.

It does get progressively less ridiculous as you level though. At level 80, full GL buffs are still nice as hell, but I'm fighting mobs that can beat through them now, whereas 10 levels ago, I could more or less just pull as many level appropriate mobs as I could and not see them make a dent in the regen rate (ok, not quite, but pretty darn close). It's also class dependent as you get higher. My Pally doesn't really notice much difference GL buffed versus not, for example.
