character update profileFollow

This is more of a question for our characters listed on this site. In days past you just had to put some of your stuff in, just enough for the site to find the character (usually 24 hours) then from that point out everything would update itself ( level, gear, bank, etc) does this still happen? If so how long is the update?

I don't remember it ever auto-updating. You had to be premium and run Lucy's Item Collector http://lucy.allakhazam.com/downloads.html and manually update it from it. It would upload all the details, but it wouldn't do it without you telling it too. Magelo may do that, and EQPlayers used to automatically update if you didn't have it turned off, but EQPlayers is no more, with no word on when or if it is ever coming back.

Item Collector appears broke for most toons on the update and profiles now-a-days, but still grabs items for the site and gives credit to those first to discover it and get it updated. Major game updates generally take a day or several to get Lucy updated, so those items may not be the first of the Lucy users to discover them, but rather the first to get them updated..

Maybe this helped clarify it a bit.

EDIT: The option is still in-game for EQPlayers and you still see the message the info has been sent to the server and will be updated soon, despite it not being there.
