My long-time friend in EQ, Shargmike, passed away January 4th at the all-too-young age of 54. "Mike" played a patch-eyed dwarf cleric and we were in the same guilds for many years. I post here as a remembrance and to inform anyone who knew him back in the guilds Shards of Time and Fun Lovin' Criminals (and others whose names escape me atm) of his sad passing. This was on Bertox and before that, Saryrn, going back as far as 2001., IIRC.
"Sharg" hadn't played much EQ in the last couple of years but we kept in touch erratically via e-mail. We shared a lot of great adventures in "Old Norrath", such as cleric epic raids in Chardok and rampaging through Vex Thal for "phat lewts." One of my fondest memories of Sharg was how he would always trade new "brands" of brews with me at the start of every raid. I remember having to hustle around Norrath trying to find a stack of bottles that neither of us had exchanged before. On one of those Chardok epic raids that I was leading I was myself almost late for the start time because I had journeyed to Halas pursuing a new barbarian brew that I heard rumors about! Just made it in time! Whenever I didn't have a NEW brew to trade, in semi-RP, he'd growl about how hobbits couldn't hold their drink!

Here's to you, Shargmike.
