Daybreak and the Devs (that remain) seem to be trying:

-the extended bonus XP timeframe

-new prog server that is going with the poll (so slower).

-Plane of Mischief partly reinstated to old*

*Devil is standing on an ice rink with that one... I never thought I'd even see PoM in a patch message again let alone some movement in the right direction.

In short, 3 things that parts of the playerbase (at least) have been asking for or will benefit from.
What other good things are going on that I'm not aware of?

Now if Aviaks could just be a playable race...

Seems like they are giving in to Nostalgia abit. Seems like good marketing because it seems like most EQ players love to bask in nostalgia :)

Messed around in POM I don't know if its just not spawned or if someone wiped it out and stuff is on a really long spawn time but the only mobs I could find are the ones at zone in and the ones at the entryway.. oh and the ones in the underground tunnel.

yeah they seem to want to keep things going and go forward with positive actions and content that hopefully everyone can appreciate. I know i do, even though i didnt go into PoM. Extended xp bonus is always welcome and of course I am actually a little excited for the new prog server. I think i will box a pally and rogue or a bard and rogue, I dont know yet.

I could go for Aviaks or Gnolls as playable :)

I'm cautiously impressed. I'm even seeing evidence they LISTEN! Like when they added a double-check to avoid accidental deletion of a character. Of course this followed their nasty opening statement that their CS people would refuse to assist anyone who did accidentally delete their toon, with the suggested "solution" being you could always just re-roll the character. That response was either clueless or just plain nasty. But there were multiple player responses about enacting the equivalent of WoW's "fail safe", requiring manual entry of the character's name to complete the deletion and evidently they instituted this change soon after.

Like I said, I'm cautiously impressed.... so far.

PS: next playable race should be GOBLIN! Think about it! They're all over the world of Norrath and they already have their own cities, including vendors and even BANKERS!

I could live with Sarnaks. Interesting race as well, although I see goblins as more intriguing, even humorous to some extent---and innately evil, akin to dark elves. Lots of potential there!
