Not at all. It's more like being exasperated with a murder victim for being foolish enough to publicly taunt a known impulsive murderer (who has previously stabbed them multiple times) and then predictably getting murdered. It doesn't mean the murderer isn't ultimately culpable for their actions, but it does mean that the victim was
unbelievably stupid to have taunted them in the first place. That's just begging for trouble and having it hand-delivered on a silver platter.
Smedley mouthed off (yet again) and now Daybreak's customers are experiencing the resulting inconvenience.
They're the real victims here, not him. It's an entirely predictable consequence of his actions.
I honestly can't believe anyone is actually defending Smedley. Do you know nothing of this contemptible man's history? He has earned a pathetic 27% approval rating on Glassdoor for a very good reason.
