On Chrome, the "Shroud of the Avatar" ad is blocking the menus. What gives?

Not having that problem, but I'm using SlimBoat, an outdated and abandoned browser. It simply can't render the newer HTML5/6 stuff? It can't open the Java/flash? Something like that. I originally ran the browser to use on a tablet that has some low memory problems.Still do.

I'm getting the same result as the OP but ZAM hasn't been able to reproduce this.

I was having the problem as well in Chrome, but I've been using the site a lot lately (Started playing again on Coirnav) so I decided to subscribe again which removes the ads and all is well for me.

Looks like this is still happening.

If you are a premium member and log out, are the top drop down menus (minus the home drop down) blocked by the Shroud of the Avatar image?

If you are a non premium member, is that image also blocking the top drop down menus (minus the home drop down)?

I need more people to confirm this. ZAM says they are unable to replicate.

Actually I am unable to log out, I got a error page LOL

But yes, If I load the page incognito, the ad covers up the drop down menus. This is using Chrome. I also tried Firefox and Edge and the behavior happens in those browsers as well. Confirmed.
